Maybe they should have an exec sit down and use the system for a few minutes. Have someone with 'the magic button' that throttles the bandwidth to what ever they were using before and back up to full speed. If the exec notices a big enough differance it might be enough to win you the deal.
An extension to this would be to actully find out what the potential customers user their LAN/WAN for. Find out what kinda company they are. Find any software they are using, check if it saturates your pipe. If it does then show them how much faster it your network does the job compaired to others. If it doesn't saturate your pipe find a program that does the same thing and can use the bandwidth you are offering and suggest it to them. Be kinda and helpfull, do some reaserch into other products that can help them.
People LOVE graphs. Give them a graph that shows the speed of your pipe vs the speed of 'other techs'. Show them a graph of the time it takes to do task X on your system vs everyone else.
Thats one of the points of a demo. It gives you and everyone else a chance to look at the game at the cost of some bandwidth. If you like the game enough then you should go out and buy the retail copy.
"As for open source on the desktop systems, Peters said although most of the applications are Webbased, a nonnative version of Lotus Notes for Linux and the lack of Microsoft Office are impediments to Linux on the desktop."
From TFA.
Contrary to popular belief Fosters is not the beer of choice for most Australians, it just has a really highly paid international add campaign.
A short guide to beer in Aus.
If he had patented it MS would have chosen a diffent combination? Why the hell would they pay roylaties when there are so many key combinations that could be used for the same something?
I am currently living in Gungahlin, Canberra's (the Aus Capital) newest and highest growing district and I can connect at a whopping 28.8k (beat that nihilogos' brother)
Aparently Telstra are upgrading the exchanges to make them ADSL compatible but thats only because TransACT, a smallish local company is laying fibre optics where they can and researching other ideas for where they can't. Telstra just want to get a market share before Transact can.
I knew it wasn't called the Old Dubbo Zoo hence me not capitalizing the 'o' on my "old". I was using it to describe the zoo.
Purhaps we should comprimise. Once he's done at the "Western Plains Zoo" we should send him to the "Old Dubbo Gaol". If I remember correctly the gallows is still standing.
But when I connect at 28.8k though my pair gains phone line it takes me hours to download porn, surly this is a good thing? Of course I shouldn't be able to play computer games online, I might not go and look at their $4million (AUD) website with more errors then his recent anti-spam bill. I belive that greater then 600 milisecond pings are a good way to combat that, after all I can load his page in only one minute.
You mean something similar to the little pad they have on laptops these days? Sure its reversed (you put your finger on the pad not the pad on your finger) but its pretty close to what your asking for.

I think he was actully asking "What happens when someone plugs this into an ethernet device with PSU running?"
Purhaps they are keeping a record becuase it helps them with their receipts, stock take and what not. It also helps them know what kind of books ppl might be interested giving them a better idea of what books they should order from publishers.
If I were buying enough books from my local book store and they were able to tell me about new books they have or are getting that I might be interested in then I think that would be very benificial.
I'm not sure if the Linux for PlayStation 2 that they were advertising at the AGDC is the dev kit.
I have the brochure here...
The Kit Includes...
* 40GB internal Hard Disk Drive
* 10/100 Base-T Network Adaptor (Ethernet)
- allows connection of Playstation 2 to the internet or home network
* Computer moniter cable with audio connectors
* USB keyboard and mouse
* Linux (for Playstation 2) version 1.0 software on 2 DVD rom discs - The Linux operating system Kernel version 2.2.1 and run time environment, technical documentation, compilers, and software installation manual.
Basicly it turns a PS2 into a linux box. Which would be nice to run those game servers off at LANs

Someone think of a CowboyNeal poll option on the double!

The Chicken or the Egg? Did they play violent computer games cos they were phsyco's or did them playing violent video games make them phsyco's?
When it comes to screwing, if you don't know where it goes HardOCP is not the place to do your research.

Having watched my family home burn to the ground with all my possesions in it I have to agree. Its quite very sadistic but it was pretty.
Do you want them in sequential or non-sequential bills?

I guess I should try harder to be original.
I say forget the courts. Just stick him in a cage with some tigers at the old Dubbo Zoo.
Here is my idea

I RTFA isn't that enough?
1. score some peroxide
2. place in rocket
3. burn up on re-entry?
not much room for profit.
