Yeah I remember the same problem when I was a kid too. You couldn't build without pliers and screwdrivers cause the pieces where often stuck. I had clumps and clumps of Lego blocks that I just got too lazy to take apart.
I think there was a hack to load the entire level at the beginning to eliminate load times during the middle of the stage. I stopped playing cause I couldn't stand looking at large insects for hours, ant-lion whatever.
I got sick of all these P2P arguments and signed up for Rhapsody. These services used to be really friendly and let you stream listen to the latest and greatest of any album entirely.
I have begin to notice all the mainstream albums are become 90 to 100% full of 30-second demos in the few months of their release. I swear, even if you pay you can't win.
Even I am not seeing the bigdeal on this. It sounds like they are episode-ing all the shows via RSS. How is they any different than downloading sections of homemade shows and movies off Atomfilms?
One of my neighbor up the street is a retired employee from Intel. He's watched over their manufacturing for a decade. At the.com boom times, he told me how the Intel assembly line worked.
Intel set out to manufacture 1000 chips for example. There is an estimate of what Mhz the chip might come out to. Ranging from 200 to 900, let's say. About the only thing certain at the end of the line is that they know what slot/socket it will be.
They might end up with 200 chips at 900mhz or 1 chip at 900mhz. I don't know if this is still the process, but this was about as much control as Intel had for a years.
From my hands on, both Enterprise Redhat and Suse are much cleaner and faster than their freebie counterpart. They also carry a lot less software to the point where I almost wish I was using fedora.
Here is the part I don't understand. How can the judge actually prevent him from actually working on search, natural language processing and speech recognition many years from now. Who's going to actually keep track of all the compete/noncompete activities?
OMG it's a joke. I was trying to emphasize the movie sucked this much. It even said it wasn't released till Nov 15 at the slashdot heading. You didn't have to actually do all these research.
Halo is no better than Unreal Tournament 2004 which was released months ahead. UT have vehicles, larger server size, more modes, faster pace.
I also feel the peek times of RTCW and Wolfenstein Enemy Territory put Halo community to shame. More clan activities, more players, some of the best teamwork I have ever seen in online gaming period.
I went into Circuit City just today. They had a giant section at the store front selling just Stealth the DVD. I guess Hollywood is trying hard to make sure they recover the expense. Here comes the funny part.... not one box was missing on the shelf. Not one!
Sometimes companies layoff just enough to cut expenses to meet their quarterly numbers. If they let go 800, it is very possible for them to rehire half of the same group couple months later.
US companies don't publicize rehires because they don't want people to think their HR is indecisive. Most importantly they know it's bad ethics to be playing with people's jobs and lives to compensate for poor earnings.
Your posts was very good up until the part you mention feng shui is nonsense.
Do a simple test. Put a couch directly at your front door and almost block your front entrance. Put your computer next to your laundry machine. Then really screw up your furniture arrangement to make yourself absolutely uncomfortable for a few days.
Watch your mood and luck change. If this creates a negative effect, then feng shui can also create a positive effect.
I am just waiting for the day someone on slashdot build a plastic case that holds the internal parts of an iPod, cellphone and PDA. Then you'll have the best of all world.
After watching Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within with total disappointment, I wonder if this next one is just more hype. Call me crazy but Hironobu Sakaguchi isn't known for variety. Expect the same party concept getting full power to save the universe from some evil being.
CS majors do program better, no doubt. But MIS majors are more "willing" to fit in anywhere. That's a huge asset in any company. Alot of CS majors are not willing to take a non-programming position since they fear their skills would be lost. I am just being honest from the different companies I have worked at.
The cost scale for hollywood is just messed up. The lead actors/actresses along with the directors/producers make up an enormous percentage of the revenue and budget. That's why there is a neverending debate as to whether their salaries should be included in the budget. They count it sometimes and sometimes not, depending on how they want to market it.
The best thing about music generation software is the potential to automate. Being able to generation thousands of random tracks while you sleep must be a real plus. Like having an artist that never sleeps (or overdose). Eventually some of them would have to sound as good as Megaman tracks.
I can't remember a game where the limited edition is truely a different game binary than the original.
What if there were more guns in half-life2 or special playmodes online for quake. Or a special class in WoW. People will flock to the limited edition then. Wouldn't even think twice.

Who needs FEMA. Bush is already hard at work with his mice plague speech.

Actually it's always a 3 step process.
1. companies merge
2. management profit!
3. layoffs
Whatever respect I had for Larry Ellison and his newly funded pet company Pillar Data system, just went down the drain.

Hey don't make fun of grog. It's not ready cause it's not version 2.0 yet... oh you mean the drink. Nevermind.

Why did this guy get troll? It's a legitimate statement and even M$ knows it. That's why they are pushing for games on the platform like no tomorrow.

LOL you just gave all those IBM commericals new meaning.
These articles always use the 1989 Tiananmen square event to gain sympathy in the US.
How about using the "1997 Hong Kong handover" event instead. That's communist society gobbling up a capitalist society.
Hands down still the best 2D scroller ever made. The replay value is just insane, I can't believe I played a 2D game for like a year nonstop.
The PS1 version was great, but the Japanese saturn version supposedly allow you to play as Maria too.
