    2003 - We have had stolen code earlier to push back the release.

    2004 - Court case

    2005 - Virus kill all the developers at Valve

    2006 - All HL2 delivery trucks are hijacked.

    HL2 IS vaporware, I don't care how many mpeg videos prove otherwise.

    M$ need to stop this bullshit. Go back to what you do best. Flood market with buggy products and make generous donation to avoid taxes!

    I so agree. And I'll add on that marketing technology will always be a challenge from the job description perspective. A car marketing person can be expected to drive their product around. I can't expect a sun marketing person to try out solaris. That's the flaw with marketing in general. The more complicated the technology, the less the marketing person touches.

    I fear that it might be IMPOSSIBLE for Internet explorer statistics to really tank, since windows is on every other person's PC.

    If a few years from now Firefox is 30% and IE is 70%, that would still be an amazing feat for Firebox IMHO.

    I am ready to use it, except I am waiting a tad bit longer just for Firefox to iron out a few more bugs for the 1.0 final (supposedly in October?).

    If there are 1,000,000 people downloading the pre-release, then there has got to be 2,000,000 people like me just waiting for the final version.

    Isn't it funny that Nvidia card owners are already beating the game. ATI owners like me have just gotten a working Catalyst 4.9 driver a few days ago. I have had the game sit on my desk for a month collecting dust. Oh the other irony is that they release the demo AFTER the Catalyst driver... hmm....

    There are a million filesystems better than UFS that Sun could have easily squeezed into Solaris 9. For years, consumers have been screaming for reiser and other filesystems as the default. The standard filesystem will always be UFS no matter what their marketing push. Until I see c0t0d0 as ZFS, I won't believe a thing.

    As much as we want this wind energy stuff to hit the market, it probably will get delayed for eternity. Why? Cause our society is build to encourage consumers to spend infinitely, not save.

    1.) Same reason why no company has build the perfect car that last forever. Could we, absolutely? Will corporate america allow it, hell no!

    2.) Same with fluoride and detergent permanently polluting the water. Do we do squat about it, hell no! Cause chemical companies are $$$ing.
