For example, if a device failed because of bad software and the pacemaker company went bankrupt, every company involved with the manufacture is liable. So in this case, Dow Chemical might have supplied a gasket or something. Plaintiffs can go after Dow even though everyone agrees that they had no contribution to the failure. Because of that idiocy every vendor related to the device charges astronomical prices for any component.

We have massive amounts of tax revenues that can be allocated to infrastructure. It's just a question of priorities.The answer can't always be "Just raise taxes and we'll be OK". There is a limit to how much can be taken away from people that work.

1. Strengthening the horrible precedent of allowing corporations bribing the government to force the purchase of their products.
2. Further screwing up American healthcare. Everything is geared towards forcing healthcare providers into giant insurance controlled monoliths. "You can keep your doctor" forced my doctor out of business. He had the option of keeping a single practice that was discriminated against by insurance companies, meaning that he was paid a lot less for exactly the same services or joining a giant hospital organization that would guarantee him a great income if he stopped actually practicing medicine and became an insurance industry/big pharma drone.
3. My family insurance costs skyrocketed for crap that makes me pay the first $24,000 a year out of pocket. We don't use insurance. We're healthy. All I want is a catastrophic policy but I can't get one because I'm not under 30.
Personally tho. I'm tired of seeing MY TAX MONEY end up going to israel every year. (4 billion this year.)

They were reducing seat pitch, overbooking flights and cheaping out on inflight refreshment starting from the day of deregulation.
Before deregulation, they were guaranteed a good profit on every route they flew and they competed for customers based on service.
Since deregulation, fares have plummeted and service has been a race to the bottom to support ever decreasing fares.
