I think you mean, "keep it off a network" since any machine connected with a route anywhere else is vulnerable. All it takes is one node of a network to be comprimised, then the rest of the network becomes a target.
is this the reason that XP's built-in search sucks so much? Explorer refuses to search through non-associated file types. Can anyone tell me why this is, what has changed since Win 2k, and how to restore the functionality without requiring third-party tools (or telling me to switch to Linux or OS X since this is a work machine)?
I was thinking that this is conceptually one of the best uses of flash in my opinion. The whole ad campaign is all about good touches, and the non-intuitive website encourages groping your way through, which is one of the benefits of flash, in a sense.
Sadly, I'm not even sure if I'm serious anymore, but I still think it's a fun site if you've got the patience to be advertised to.
Actually, the FCC flip-flopped on the Bono incident. They originally deemed the context to be not indecent, then decided that any use of the f-word is vulgar. I don't recall (nor do I feel like searching for it) whether they decided to fine Bono.
I think you need some history lessons. Discrimination on account of intelligence is just a wrong and illegal as discriminating on account of race, creed, or color.
Both the wise and fools need equal representation under our (the US) government.
It's the notion that the branches are poised AGAINST each other that keeps American democracy "working." The founding fathers realized that people can't be given too much power, and thereby implemented a system of checks and balances to keep one branch from getting too much pull.
That being said, it'd sure be nice to see the judicial branch come down on the PATRIOT act.
the best plan to make money is to hold other news sites hostage. Good ole extortion, that's a great way to make money. Offer to make Google News worse if the 10 largest competitors pay up proper.
Unless you are referring to bylaws in their parties, then illegal is a valid term. For those who say that illegal should refer to "stuff made criminal under US [federal|state|local] law," get over it, man submits himself to all sorts of authorities.
It's because/. is a community site filled with differing opinions. Why people insist on posting in such a thread a "why care" response to a question is a mystery to me.
It's NOT ownership. It's free to license. That doesn't sound desirable to most users. "I've got a free license! Woo hoo! It may cost 6 bucks for a CD, but the license is free." Free Download is what home users care about. Mozilla needs to target it's site to the people who download Bonzi Buddy and other crap. This site makes it easy for people to download a copy of Firefox or Mozilla. This is a very nice redesign.
That being said, I think it should say something like "Free Download--Won't Cause Popups"
This is among the primary concern of home users nowadays. They don't care that malware is on their computer (unless it actively steals their credit card info), they only care about keeping the damn popups away.
with a soldering iron. That's what I did to my PowerMac's white LED. Damn thing was WAY too bright, and I didn't like shutting down since bootup took too long (especially when I needed to shoot off multiple "I woke up late" emails:)
It's rather like a vasectomy for a Mac, moreso since it's reversible.
finally removes the word "suckers" and is totally written in leetspeak.
Maybe it was the questions most modded over/under rated, which would imply that they generated the most interest?

if only we could get all of the crack dealers of the world to donate to charity for each sale...

Well, regardless of your statement, it seems true to your nickname.
Oh come on mods, this was funny. Troll indeed.

not as often as they'd like...
from the article was that MSN Messenger can grok Xbox Live status! That's cool!
someone's used game store went under.
This auction is for those who want to give it their shot.
That's just a mixed charset problem. A lot of blogs seem to have this. If you view the page as UTF-8, the quotes appear.
The page was served with charset iso-8859-1, but was composed with utf-8.
Just another reason to use html entities.
I'll bite:

It's for internal testing purposes. Be happy it's in color with textures. Not everything has to be Doom 3, ya know?

try a hickory tree. Stings like hell and the mere thought is a deterrant for most rascals and rapscallions.
I always found OpenBeer to be too tightly packaged. It's like they don't want anyone from the outside to get at the good stuff at all...

If that's the case, I'm sure the Homeland Security Dept will enforce a cap of about 5bps ;)
Well, there was/will be Welshy, but that's the future, or parallel universe, either way, talk to the Enterprise guys.
