In fact, a given image can both be simultaneously porn and not-porn depending on who is looking at it. Yeah, this stuff confuses me. Is it still legal to drink from a Starbucks cup in public?
The problem is not so much the emotional rhetoric, but the binary political system which presents every problem as a dichotomy, which leads to that emotional rhetoric. Somehow it turns out most issues aren't black and white.
On the plus side, Sony's offering a full year warranty this time around. That's Nintendo's standard warranty as well. It's just 360 owners that are out in the cold after three months.
It'd be interesting to see what happened if people on MySpace started a campaign to remind their friends to vote. If it turned into a meme it might have a significant effect. I guess we'll see. I'm sure someone will try it this fall.
The first production 360s came off the line in August, if I remember correctly, but they didn't start producing significant numbers of consoles until sometime in September.
Have you ever looked at the MSX? It was pretty successful in Japan, though not so much in the rest of the world. Bonus points for guessing what the "MS" stands for.
Yeah, the RAGE engine (Rockstar Advanced Game Engine (I think)) is going to be used for all their next-gen titles. Oddly enough, the title John Carmack and iD Software are working on is also codenamed Rage. So...
Rockstar to purchase iD. You heard it hear first.
Yeah, the speed at which this industry discards it's roots is disturbing. PC games from a five years ago are a crapshoot, if you can find them. Some Xbox games will almost certainly never be supported by future Xboxes. Even with Nintendo building in emulation for old consoles some third party games will never appear again. And this is ignoring lesser known consoles. There are some Turbo-graphix games I'd love to play again. Why aren't there Battletoads on Live Arcade?
If we can't learn from the past we can't build on it. This stuff needs to be sorted out, and if a few speculators get hurt that's too bad. Nintendo and Gametap.com are both making a good start. Hopefully Sony and MS will do the same.
Owning constants is hard work. You gotta get out there and protect your property. Do you have any idea how much it cost to dig up that Newton guy to have him summonsed?
1) The Playstation3 footage was not created by PS3 hardware. This has been confirmed dozens of times, there is no 'argument'. 2) The Microsoft presentation had actual playable software. I was there, and people cared about the Microsoft presentation a ton more.
Do you somehow not notice that the 360 footage (and demos) were not created by 360 hardware?

By the way, the new Namco Museum DS has Pac-man Vs. with single-card multiplayer.
Break the code. There's boobies in there somewhere.
What I said.
Have you ever played Goldeneye with dual analog sticks? It works very well, though it does make the game a little too easy.

Eh, that's the back story. The actual story is what you're doing in the game.
Halo Wii (nt)
Of course, Sony's probably still making money from the BR drive (writers won't be cheap anytime soon) and the blank media.

For some reason, Future made a deal with Barnes & Noble for exclusive distribution of Edge.

Remember FFXI?
The team that made High Road to Revenge was dissolved, with the employees laid off.
Are you saying there's something dirty about freedoming my wife?
Oddly enough, EA just cut the retail prices on almost all of their games, by $10-20.
That's the kind of shoddy work that pervades the PC world. Those guys at Penny-Arcade couldn't even get my name right.

They need to pull their act together enough to release it in the US. How else am I going to pick one up for $20 when they go out of business?

Also, you might note that Gaiman, Moore, and Miller manage to cite when using direct quotes.
