Apple; or should I say CRAPPLE!
Damn, back in the late '80s, Crapple had the worst form of product returns I have ever been a part of. Warranty returns HAD to be repacked in the very same carton the replacement drive came in, and if it wasn't...NO WARRANTY! ROMS? forget it, Crapple kept an eye and gun trained on every single ROM chip that was ever burned for the shitty machines! Remember the Kangaroo(or whatever) that used the roms from the MAC II,SE and so on to emulate the MAC in a portable machine, now called a laptop(iBook)? Remember them getting sued for patent infingement because they "assumed" this upstart stole the rom codes and used the OS in their machines, when in fact, it WAS the (CR)Apple roms all along, so no infringement! They went tits up soon after regardless. POINT: Those strong enough financially will stay afloat, while lesser companies fold and chapter-out of existance. How many years can MS tolerate a suit against them, if it were say, GM, Chrysler or Sun, IBM? Not very long I'd imagine realistically thinking that is...money talks, and although MS is deep pocketed, it's not THAT deep pocketed to do an end-run on top of HUGE corps like the above mentioned. Windows "look" "feel" thingy has been played out long ago when WIN-X.X was in diapers, they lost it soon afterwards...see how many use that very same app.association in their offerings to date! Almost ALL software sold to date has the very SAME "look" "feel" that "windows" uses, it IS diluted in it's own right, it has become death unto itself by sheer age and inclusions into other software, no form of infringement can be seen when the entire software industry uses the terminology that "defines" the operating system as a whole. (WinLinuxdows)....
Microsoft NOT a monopoly....sure, and Linux is a real threat to the "name" than Lindows can possibly hope to become.
Linus...did you cash that check that B.Gates mailed to you yet?
Maybe I can get free cellphones for life by my suing ERICSSON for use of MY name then?
Sure, that'll go over well at the USPTO...NOT!
Names are ASSOCIATED with PRODUCTS and or SERVICES, nothing more. But "windows" is GENERIC to begin with...what specific "window" does MS think it is protecting with this suit? Be specific as to "what" you "mean" with a term as widely used as is "windows"...what SPECIFIC FUNCTION does a computer window/s do/does? A person can use their own name for anything they choose to use it with, be it food, computers, automobile industry...hell, can GM sue me for opening up the GM ISP?
Since the government can't legally trademark or copyright names(we the people OWN the government, right?) we can use CIA, FBI, ATF and any acronym for a product or service of our choosing.
CIA is used in Milwaukee, WI. for auto sales..Capitol Import Autos... NSA; National Systems Administrators, agency(old IT retirement facility). Damages...sure, like Lindows "damaged" MS in even the slightest...show PROOF B.Gates...we need PROOF of damage, like all others before you had to show. How about LINDOS...a DOS knock-off then? Or Lynndows...Lynn would be pissed for sure!
Alright then; use GARAGE, and PORTALS as a name...HEY WAIT, I OWN THOSE NAMES, I CREATED THEM. Sorry, you may purchase these from me for $1.2,000,000.00 for exclusive rights of use/ownership.
Thsi message is copyrighted, 12.21.2001, E.A.E, all rights retained and defended to death or dismemberment!
Steal my thoughts, I'll send out the troll hounds and hunt you down!
All thinking machines aside; I would entice the design "crews" to build a form equals function device, multi-os/platform with up/down scalability, OS independancy of course(It'll run ANY software). The uplaod/downloading is via a flashport connection IN the modem's comm-handling "CPU" that enables read/write directly to the PDA without resarting/Ctrl+Alt+Del finger dlustering.
Backside access port/s have Z.I.Fs for firmware updates hidden under small "doors" so the unit stays active even during firmware updates.
Modem: we MUST have copper conns. faster then the antiquated F.C.C max of 52K, anybody for USB/DSL modem INSIDE this thing? Lights/idiot and otherwise are NOT needed and consume valuable battery resources....no backlight either, HEY, it's supposed to be used in lighted areas, is it not? Or do many of you still have to get out the flashlight at bedtime and sneak your reading/web time under the blankets? Logic controllers for idle periods that maintain LOW quiescent current consumption while maintaining instant resume upon button touches. Main CPU used for WORK, microcontrollers used for all other routines(memory, cas/ras, strobe, timing and so on). Also, the display should be very low power consumption during use. 16-bit D/A converters for outputs, 12-bit A/Ds for keyed inputs/touchscreen/pen use here? While we're at it...let's add some codecs for multimedia okay?
CMOS GPS RX in the case with a "cute" ceramic patch antenna for L1 reception. One could pack a lot of tech into a small space if it was designed right, and not filled with too much plastic..
Go 4+ layer boards, maybe piggyback the modem card on the CPU backplane and memory stick port/s.
How about those juicy high-density connectors for a printer/CD/floppy or ???? Make THAT multimedia "compliant" as well. Oh, while we're at it...toss in a cheap-ass Nokia cellphone for the kiddies to call home on.
These are a few of my ideas about making use of user interfaces such as the ubiquitous PDA of late. The GEEK-PUTER of the 21 and 1/100th century!

al Qaeda Hacks XP?

Okay, then it's a bacterium virus...the strain that's even costlier for C+ coders as it changes it into java and then*cough*CP/M...OH MY OSAMA!
The Al Qaeda have just purchased a McDonalds and
are now serving billions bullshit MS XP brand
happy meals with anthrax laced shakes and fries in a small skoal-like circular container....*Just a pinch between your cheek and gum, and you're all done*
I hear that the Al Qaed just bough ten NEW IBM punch card computer system "mainframes" and received ten free teletype printers at no charge..(punch cards not included).
*Stupid comments are for everybody's enoyment, not just the "novelist's*
Being heavily involved in two-way radio systems(I own 5 commercial repeaters), I see a few here speak of 802.11b like it's "the" standard by which all others are judged, it's not. This is a demographics problem, and Bluetooth systems are few and far between and even less in "rural" America, where I do business. Connectivity "IS" the standard by which to judge. Cellular AMPS, GSM, PCS are fine, just never trust any commercial network for full-time service(9.11.01 comes to mind). Infrastructure needs to be attended to as does the site costs for any buildouts planned.
"Mom and pop probably can't even think of shelling out millions per POP for for aucttion licensing for their location if it's metro anyway. Nextel has a huge "chunk" of this nation already (under)serviced with iDEN and breaking down THAT "wall" gets you calls from their army of attorneys. Network costs are a very small part of the overall picture, but I would LOVE to get involved with ANY group here that wants to connect telco gear to my "network" of UHF repeaters....HELL, I'll remove them from 2-way service and network the whole lot if this is feaseable! Let's see....Modems, packet nodes, routers, frame relays, towers, site licensing, cabling, link radios(2.4 Ghz, 5.6 Ghz.) and transmitter controllers, pre-amps(GaAs-FET of course)identifiers for the R.F. backbone service.
Gee.....sounds "cheap" already...NOT!
Ideas that are sound, sound good; it's the sound of money that gets the job/s finished!
Shit, big cities have multi-this and that.
Rhinelander has ONE telco and that is Citrizens.
Sure Century Tel are in the locale, but do not provide what we need. Citizens also owns/operates
a local ISP known aas New North Net(known from this time on as NNN). The chief moron is a guy that is never on the premises, or if he is; he;s elsewhere. They have a woman running the network that has NO computer experience other than word, Etc.. NOT any network background.
Their standard excuse for NNNs constant disconnects is: It MUST be YOUR modem..you know most software modems have "no" filtering like a "hardware" modem, PLUS. software modems are not
as well shielded against interference from your(my) amateur radio equipment, and THAT is what is causing you to be disconnected..sure, I live on the radio 24 hours a day, and never turn it off.
I asked the bitch just how she determined it was MY fault when YOUR network dumped ME, not the opposite. I have filed over 50 complaints with Lee Lappin of this company, and to date NOTHING has been done! I filed a complaint with the Wisconsin branch of the Conumer Protection Agency, maybe THEY can help get thos shitheads to fix the service. How many networks have YOU been on that disconnects you 7 times in 10 minutes???
Error codeds range from 650, 629 and 678 to 729, 790?...either way..it's a problem I an 2 other businesses complained about, but they ignore us as we are but a few of thousands..Talk about Q.O.S(Quality Of Service)...there is NO QUALITY!
I talked to the manager about "service" I pay for and why I am dumped so damn often...he ranted about my paying for service, I said DISCONNECTS
are NOT SERVICE...GO FIX THE DAMN NETWORK!
I found out that NNN had the install done by the
equipment mfgrs. BUT, they decided to run the network without KNOWING how it functions...NO WONDER they have problems!
Oh, MY ISP's dial up is 715.365.0000
Try it...ping the net!
Better yet, PING their brains, listen for hollow ringing!
Screw "secret" dialups....that IS their actual dialup line for Rhinelander!
*Be important, know everything*!
First, it's HYDRODYNAMICS, the study of motion/s in an aqueous solution(water).
As the water flowing over the surfaces of ANY vessel, it makes/produces noises that are detectable by sonar; since water is the BEST conductor of audio we have, this allows the topside ship to sweep given areas of known operations of the "enemy" and use triangulation of
other sweepers to vector positional locations and speed as targeting references. Noises are minimized with flooring composed of rubber.
Deck surfaces can be covered with sound reduction
coatings as well, but this is a higher speed to stealth cost too, not to mention the turbulence
added to the wake of the vessel when operating surface and especially sub-surface.
One could also "try" a heavy layering of teflon on the hull, but production costs are way out of reach and probably not all that worthwhile to attemp as well. Minimizing and eliminating the signature sounds IS of utmost importance. We chart vessels by their sonar signatures and catalog them for reference when our navy is on patrol. We can tell the class of vessel, it's heading and speed by this, not to mention it's prop sounds and how fast her screws are rotating as well. Since R.F does NOT penetrate water far, and salt water even less; forget radar use. As for surface vessels; use IR targeting for locating ships! Thermal imaging can be used under water as well as on the surface. heat is dissipated faster in water, but close range should be possible.(I never used thermal imaging, so the above comment is made as a
suggestion only). Sonobuoys are constantly dropped from recon planes in hostile zones to listen for enemy movements they were previously unaware of.
Steel against steel makes a great homing device!
Dropped tools, striking rock, coral or other submerged strata gives locations away to the "watchful" ears of the sonar ops. If subs make sounds approximating whales...do a study of wahale activities in the area, note the type of whales there and the noises they make against what YOU hear on the headphones. Abnormal sounds from creatures not normally found in the vicinity can also be a good giveaway too. Many things can and are used to locate the enemy, even "ancient" methods can be used as they are usually thought of as old, and are forgotten as well. The old, reborn has led many a man to his death. Nobody is immune to a well orchestrated attack of forgotten tactics!
Software that is bought by me will never become illegal to use just because a company says so...
WHO is going to know, let alone care that I have Win98 installed 10 years AFTER its release/death?
How will "they" prevent me from this?
My money paid for it, it's mine to use as long as I see fit to do so, and I will do so until I say it's time to change..NOBODY ELSE orders me to do this. What a fraudulent monopoly the software industry has over us....only THEY are allowed to dictate uses of their product that was sold to me/us, and I have NOTHING to say about this either....SINCE WHEN did I relinquish my PROPERTY to "them"?
Come and get me Microsoft...come play with me and my arsenal of democracy...I DARE YOU to TRY IT!
I'll have you cuffed and stuffed faster than the red ink in your pen dries on paper...TRESPASS is a
crime and I have a very itchy finger too*S*!
Screw the mutt....BANG BANG, sue ME!
You sell; I buy, it's MINE FOREVER!
Microsoft and all software companies for that matter are not "owed" business or a living!
It's never been a right at all, it IS a priveledge though. Sell products to me; I'll rip into them and make them useable for ME alone, not anybody else! What right do they have deciding who, what, where, when and why I do something is NONE of their business to begin with!
My "contract" with them ended when the money left my wallet to "buy" the software, end of story!
Screw the EULA..use it for anything you damn well please!
You OWN the program you paid for, it stops being a license when a price is affixed to it, and is turned into "PRIVATE" property!
If it's not private property, then why is it illegal for another to take it from your home without your permission then...Hmmmm???
Sure, it's a "license"...like my license to flush my toilet too?
How about WE license software companies then?
At the checkout counter, you whip out a form to be sent to XYZ software company claiming that sales of this software package to me, states your company is licensed by myself for the unlimited and royalty free use in perpetuity, or as long as either continues to flourish, and ceases when I die, but the ownership of the above named software is sold outright only, and can not be rescinded under any circumstance/s and will be transferred to my appointed heirs as I deem fit to succeed me.
Any software that does NOT disclose the EULA on the OUTSIDE of the box is NON-BINDING and unenforceable and any attempts to do otherwise is an act of FRAUDULENT SALES TACTICS and ILLEGAL in nature. Hiding any legal document is the same as
fraud! All legal documents MUST, by law, be KNOWN and witnessed with a signature and when possible; notarized with an official stamp signed and dated, plus sent to all parties involved.
Can YOU buy a home without being able to have access to the deed BEFORE the deal is made?
NOPE...NOT legal in ANY state that I am aware of.
It used to be, that once you paid for something; you OWNED it. I see now that in software, this is no longer the case...It's ours until the company says it isn't...funny shit huh?
GIMME MY MONEY BACK YOU THEIF!
That idea is a possibility that surely has merit.
I know people that think because they burned a CD
on theirs or another's burner, there's no "possibility" the disk could have a virus on it.
I asked how it's NOT possible, given that the data you burned the CD with may have been infected some time before, you just never scanned it or thought it possibl;e before, but it is definately a very distinct reality to ponder.
EULA's even come with limited use software, those that are "trial-size" with almost no functionality, except for the routing.bat/.exe files and so on....you get a "feel" of how the "real" stuff works....
I heard bitching even with this form of software...they assumed it was the real deal, even when the EULA stated otherwise.
This also goes for those "freebie" AV progs that one downloads to "get a feel" of....Even Norton did that, as well as McAffee.
Trials are just that; trials, NOT the full-fledges offering you spend good money on, so how can you complain when you knew from jump street you were getting tidbits for accessing, but NOT the package, lock, stock and barrel.
Jump me UP to score 1, 2, 3 or even lower...NOT another "4" please...Oh, and add a bonus like Insighful, redundant even.
This message will self destruct in 100 clock cycles!
If Intel was at fault, which I fully believe they aren't; why blame them for a design "flaw" they(Intel)probably had nothing to do with in the first place?
Silkscreening is a design-level "attribute" that takes the circuit design, masking and through hole vias out to and routed to the proper chip lead/s.
Multi-level boards are vastly more difficult to fabricate and even more so, if the board is going to deal with high frequency generators running upwards of 500 to 1.2 Ghz. There MUST be some form of shielding in the board to prevent crosstalk.
Clock crystals, running at their fundamental begins to be problematic when the frequency begins to approach the CPU clock either by direct correlation, or by harmonics. I've even heard the "buzz" generated by the ubiquitous 14.31818 Mhz. color crystal. Somehow, i doubt Intel designed those boards, if they DID "do it", then that's a big NO-NO to them not to mention damn poor business "class" to boot. Designs get built-in and built around the PCB wiring traces and at times, those traces are "forgotten" when the design is layered. That's the job of the E.C.O, or Engineering Change Orders; they provide the updates and corrections to a board design that "lost" traces, and also adding wiring to components that suffer timing delays, loopback errors and wrong clock operations. I have several Zenith main boards with wire wrap wiring running all over the board due to mods performed as a test, updates and corrections to the original board's design, that was corrected in later revisions of the board/s. Routing the wrong or no traces to certain components CAN cause severe heat buildup, especially in GaAs FET designs that require a negative voltage applied first. That usually blows the gate channel out.
Anyway, this appears to be a simple case of shoddy board-level designing, which "happens" to include an Intel chipset. I see nothing but that from "my" (dis)advantage point.
Doesn't California JAIL people who light up a cigarette OUTDOORS???
Hmm...Smoke a cigarette, go to jail; sounds like DEMOCRACY to me...NOT!
FUCK CALIFORNIA!
FUCK TEXAS; where the courts MURDER people!
Folks, IF the "death penalty" really WAS a deterrant, then WHY do so many people still kill, Hmm??
NO deterrant will ever stop HUMAN NATURE...
Hey,give me a better score than the normal 4 I get!
I wanna 1 or 2 now...and what about the points?
This IS insightful, well, maybe not to you, but to somebody it is...+1!
FLASHER!
I post MY name, why don't you do the same chicken!
Gee, I am sure happy that being a programmer with ethics; that you too, live in jail while a foreign government decides YOUR fate!
Boy oh boy....ANOTHER MARTYR HERE FOLKS...of IGNORANCE it appears sadly enough though.
Would YOUR employer do THIS for YOU?
Would YOU risk jail for YOUR rights?
Is this becoming a SHOW of balls, or is the "law" so friggin' weak, that the U.S. government has to resort blackmail, extortion and lies to make the DMCA work as thought, or did the unconstitutionality of this suddenly become quite apparent to the feds?
*Talk about cracking codes; go to prison!
*Think about cracking codes; go to prison!
*Write about cracking codes; go to prison!
*Thinking about any code cracking; go to prison!
*Sign on the staue of "liberty" now reads:
Once you become citizens of this nation, you are free to go about your life like always, EXCEPT when the horn sounds, then you MUST return to your individual cells for the remainder of the night!
*Violations of this order is punishable by death and dismemberment, or at the very least; LIFE in a
filthy jail somewhere!
Until the current government is dissolved and rebuilt, EXPECT more restrictions on YOUR freedoms! *Brought to you by the friendly folks of the PATRIOT act and the DMCA/DRM...Microsoft..
COPYRIGHT, 2001, microsoft, fbi, doj...
*You are under arrest!
You have the right to remain stupid; anything you buy, can and will be used against you in a court of money. If you can't afford a lazy attorney, we'll make sure a sleazy one is appointed for you and paid out of your prison funds. You have the right to remain jailed indefinately, or until we decide if you are qualified to pay for the hearing, and if not, you'll stay locked up even longer. Do you understand anything about the rights you were told, well, do you?
Good! Now turn around, place your hands behind your back and kneal before my badge and pray like hell that i'll not beat your head any more than is necessary, or until I feel you finally DO understand the rights I have given you!
Screw "democracy" if shit like this is allowed to run rampant in the legal system.
BUSH IS GONE IN THE NEXT ELECTION!
ASHCROFT IS ALSO HISTORY...BASTARDS ALL!!!!
You have obviously NOT read the constitution then!
It stated that the U.S. has the right to enforce it's will against any person, regardless of where they live, and at any time George Bush/Asscroft
may deem fit to enforce.
Well, go look at www.free-sklyarov.net for my response to this blatant disregard to national soveriegnty(eaerme@newnorth.net).
I HATE what this government has now become, and it gets worse every damn year, thanks in part by Clinton and his hit squads, the D.O.J and the F.B.I are now bedfellows with Microshaft's "Bill"
and more, unseen "partners" to governmental crimes against the people of the U.S., TREASON really!
I thought the government had "enumerated" authority" and not unlimited as they seem to have now. Where does it read in the Bill of Rights OR the Constitution that the government has the right to ENSLAVE, huh?
I for one am getting my guns ready, for what is CERTAINLY going to be an all-out war against tyrany! Sure, many would say I am being paranoid, but have they even bothered to see the winds of change that is NOW taking place in our laws?
They have been carefully crafted to deny OUR rights, while giving police and the government UNLIMITED POWER to enslave US!
AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL, where are you?
Talk about "domestic" slavery......DAMN!
The right to vote has been repealed!
The right to keep and bear arms has been repealed!
The right to ******************* has been repealed!
All rights are now DENIED!
You are hereby ordered by the government to hand in all firearms owned by you to your police, violators of this order shall be imprisoned for not less than 1 year or not more than 50 years.
SLAVERY, what a concept, right?
I had one stovepipe in the "early" days of the weapon's life...since the slide job, accurizer bushing and a full "tightening" of the mechanism...she's tight as a virgin and runs like a raped ape from an orgy.
Really sweet and easy to hold, aim and fire; not to mention a blast to watch door bashers freak out at the 1/2" diameter hole in the tube that's pointed at their acne-pocked faces!
There's NO better feeling than to have a gun and NOT need it, then to NEED a gun and NOT have one!
Long live the N.R.A and the second amendment(if it survives bush and company that is).
Norinco made some great 1911A1 copies that were great to modify into "super" race guns, I built
four and my "super" super comp is rigged for light target loads, extended mag capacity(yes, 15 rounds!), with a 4 "port" compensator to eliminate muzzle flips. Greta gun to shoot and compete with.
XENIX...*yeah*...Oh how I DO recall SCO's software as well, I was an S.E for a ZDS store and I can remember our file server stopping dead from "overuse" of even our P.O.S system!
Runtimes were a joke, LANs were worse than that too. Ever have your Novell hub go down from a puke in the server runtime data logging?
How about the P.O.S going dead and failing to report receipts for the entire day?
1988 was NOT the "fun" years so many remember....
It was more torture dealing with customers installing Win-2.X and NOT loading it properly(many tried to install the LAST disk first, and also attempted this using that damned "copy" command..Arrrg!
Let's see here...copy A; C;\windows\program files\...La De Daaa......CRASH!
Damn it...it won't boot now...WAAAAAA.
Gee, come to think of it...wanna trade a "new" 80387SX coprocessor for a P-III slot-1 CPU?
As Ralph Cranden said to wifey...One of these days Alice...one of these days...POW, right in the kisser!....THAT'S Xenix my friends!
What legal document becomes valid AFTER you make the purchase? SOFTWARE! Can it then be said for all who make/buy/sell any product also maintain this "right" as well? Would the *cough*court system recognize an "after-the-fact" "agreement" as a legally binding contrct between seller and buyer, no matter WHAT was being sold or bought?
I am now a pirate....I have in my posession a new and now opened box of MicroProse "Birth of the federation" CD and book that I personally did NOT buy, but was given(forgive me oh software god).
I see the box has NO legal contract information on
the OUTSIDE defining the rights of the company or the consumer. Does hiding a contract negate the
legal bindings of seller/buyer "contracts" if the buyer was not aware of such documents up front, it
MUST be legally and morally INVALID, and hence NON-ENFORCEABLE because every contract/agreement I signed, i had to READ and agree FIRST in order for
the contract/agreement to become legal and binding. After-the-fact licensing is NOT legal NOR binding, it is now becoming "legal" to "assume" a contract/license is binding by mere posession of a box? Can I now "assume" this company will forever be bound to send me updates to this game since we are both "bound" by a contract for X years to life. This makes them bound to me as well.
I just opened the book and read the page about "licensing"...on page 150 no less!
It states, and i quote directly:Hasbro grants to you as the original purchaser of this product a non-transferable right to use the product for your own personal and private use and not in connection with any business activity, unless otherwise permitted by law, no part of thisproduct may be copied, reproduced, translated, modified, decompiled or reduced into any electronic or other form without the prior written consent of Hasbro. You may not rent or lease, or sell or transfer copies of the product or any part of it. Unquote.
Damn, I can't even GIVE the shit away without being labelled a friggin' criminal according to that lame diatribe! HEY HASBLOW..you SOLD it, I bought it...IT'S MINE to with as I see fit!
Contracts and licensing are legal and binding IF and ONLY IF, the agreements/license are KNOWN and MUTUALLY AGREED UPON BEFORE THE SALE, NOT AFTER!
F**K your "license"...you foreited any "rights" by hiding the "legal" documents from me, WITHOUT my knowledge or consent..GUILTY!
All subsequent licenses and agreements "assumed" by Hasbro and myself are hereby NULL AND VOID by FRAUDULENT CONCEALMENT OF A "LEGAL" DOCUMENT!
You, Hasbro ARE the criminal, not I!
Hasbro places the legal copyright notices all over the box, but "carefully" avoids placing any information about license agreements and right of use anywhere on the box...WHY?
Oh wait, it's ASSUMED...like I ASSUME Hasbro owes to me, lifetime upgrades of this game;(laughing).
If Hasbro can "assume" licensing upon me, I too can "assume" they will be bound to me for all future upgrades to this game...for the life of myself and Hasbro.
Okay boys and girls...here's the deal.
Since THIS posting is an "original" work by me, the "writer", I "assume" every stinking right there is known to mankind, and I hereby LICENSE everybody that reads this message to NONDISCLOSURE and you MUST obey MY right as a copyright holder, otherwise I'll sue you, call the feds on you, make you write sloppy software and sleep late and in your clothes too, no less!
Don't copy, don't read, don't open that CD or book unless you want to be bound by the now legally binding vapor-contracts so prevalent with software!
Get back at RIAA...take rare-Earth magnets into a music store....*Hey, cool tape(swipe)...OOPS, erased...HA HA HA!!
I wonder then, is this "piracy" as well?
How about bad tapes to begin with, without being magnetically wiped clean that is.
NEVER get even....GET AHEAD!
Only in software can thieves make unseen contracts legal and binding; all others need witnesses!
I have to send Hasbro some mail about this now....
Time to bitch at the corrupt, force changes, make differences for all to see, feel and hear.
*By the way, Birth of the Federation game book is 152 pages from cover to cover, talk about hiding a contract/license from the consumer*!
Thank you for hitting this "nail" squarely on the head!
But one item i draw exception/s to is; the "software cops" might get a warrant(if possible) but how the hell do they force me to open my door for a company dick? Gee, I suppose my Desert Eagle in.50AE WILL get used for target practice then, huh? JUST SAY NO...that's all it takes...really.
No private citizen nor corporation can evade a bullet from my gun when they try to kick in my door/s at 3A.M folks...NOBODY DOES THAT AND LIVES!
Screw kevlar, body armor...I blast brain matter!
Any gun-toting nazi cop want to do a 10-pacer with LIVE ammo with me someday...PLEASE???
Too bad piracy costs people their freedom for being victimless in the offense. How many traffic tickets do the nazis pay when one of "their own" gets a rare ticket....none, I'll bet. Just like a
simple radar trap for us, is nothing to worry about for "them" either. Check ANY driving record of ANY nazi cop in this nation, and you'll see that when they become cops, they immediately become immune to traffic fines and accident related fines as well. A "raid" is an illegal act of social terrorism forced upon the people by an overzealous government bent on intimidation, opressive acts and yes, despotic behavior/s as well. I would love for some lame-assed bounty hunter to bash in my door to my home some day, that'll be the LAST door he enters vertically!
I take MY rights VERY seriously, and I'll be damned if ANYBODY is going to take them away without JUST CAUSE!
Ya want in to my home...KNOCK!
Break down the door when you are dressed up like a ninja on crack, and you get your brains splattered
all over my walls! Forced entry IS terrorism to US, the FREE PEOPLE of THIS NATION we call the U.S.A! Show me ANY place in the Declaration of Independance, the Bill of Rights...anywhere really, that gives DICTATORIAL POWER/S TO POLICE OR THE GOVERNMENT. Last time i read my copy of the bill of rights, it stated that the government has ENUMERATED AUTHORITY...that means LIMITED people!
They do NOT have ANY authiority to smash down your door, or point a gun at your head at 3 A.M because they can...they CAN'T by the constitutional decree! POWER belongs to the people first and foremost, the state; second. Piracy has never costed any business any real hard currency...ever.
It's really vapor-cash, thought up, dreamed up and
shoved down the throat of everybody for so long, we now assume it to be the truth. Spendign millions to force a small band of, dare I say this..."brigands" to pay the "penalties" of their hideous atrocities to social order, my stars, those terrorists MUST be beaten severely for such a hideous crime. Of course, every fed, cop, nazi-lover and "geek", nerd and so on here and elsewhere has NEVER taken anything that belonged to another, right? No, I don't mean that #2 pencil either. How about floppies, memory, anything you "assumed" was legit, may have been planted to test ones honesty....you took the bait all the way down the windpipe, didn't you? Let's face it folks; pirates and piracy have never shown up as a rip in the fabric of the economy of scale, because the small amount that is pirated, has never once shown or proved to be much of a detriment to making ever more money. How can you "lose" that which you never knew you had to begin with, huh?
If some kids siphons my tank of 2 gallons of gas, and I never noticed or saw him/her take the gas, can I PROVE I was "robbed" then in court by mere say-so? I thought "proof" was needed to show "cause" for any arrest in this nation... I supopose this is 1939 all over again, and hitler/bush is once again crying LAW BREAKERS ALL to the masses, just like a bible-thumper in Mississippi is doing at church for their "god" deity. Stop the stupidity; stop the lunacy and arrogance of M$ and others that claim theft has occurred when it can't be proven to begin with!
Catching anybody in the "act" is a sure sign of guilt, and easily punished as well.
Gee, Bill Gates just stole my car....FOUL people...GET THE FBI here now...HA HA!!
I said he stole it, doesn't THAT qualify the same as M$ cries now? Billions of dollars "lost" from piracy alone...okay, sure, the GNP of a nation like Australia is lost yearly by so fe in the software "biz", like that amount they can account for now too? Gee, maybe it IS after all, the government never made a penny on the "pirated" sales tax that amount would certainly have cha-chinged at the feds cash registers quite loudly too no less. i know I would love to know where MY billions went to...don't we all for that matter? Piracy, yeah, right. Go steal a Yugo and cry THEFT, and see how many feds come-a-runnin to help catch that auto-terrorist. Can you think "sit and wait...like some familiar Redmond-ware/s??
Xp is NOT worth stealing, pirating, copying or buying....it's JUNK to many! How dare microslob to
think they "own" the PC platform, and hence the OS and even your machine too. Would YOU wear a leg
band that beeped to a server if you logged on to a
competitor's ISP or web site,....NOPE! Why do we allow Ms. Gates the power to monopolize the OS of our choosing, even if it is Wincrap98 or higher?
When did one company become the all-telling software authority? We LET them do it, that's why we HAVE XP folks. Not because piracy is even a thought, it's MONEY, LOTS of money and more of it daily, that's all M$ cares for...bigger, slower and totally all-consuming of everything that "might" have the M$ logo affixed to it.
You too, may someday be forced by M$ to be "stenciled" with your OSs serial number/s, so "they" will know your copy or copies are "legal" and not pirated....Privacy?...FORGET it folks!
That's old and lomg done away with by the "regime"
that re-elected itself for the fifth time....
It's HAPPENING HERE NOW, but we are so blind to the slight "ripples" of it that we notice not, the tide washing away every right piece by piece.
"Aren't YOU a party member too?"
And we thought Stalin was bad....oh boy, here comes Bush and Co.!!!

Okay now, I have a father that owns a machine shop, and i too, have been a machinist as well.
The "mil" in "our" jargon/lingo stands for 1/1000th of an inch(.001).
This folks, is NOT difficult to comprehend is it?
Okay, here goes a small sampling:
10 mils = 10/1,000s inch, or.10
100 mils = 1/10th of an inch, or.10
1,000 mils is...ONE INCH!
get it?
Got it?
GOOD!!!
Good day!
P.S. By the way, if any of you have a few PIs or PPros or even PIIs and PIIIs lying about and "need" to part with them or just plain toss them away...send them to ME!
C.O.D of course....
They have no value, except in my computer room where they will be popped open, pins up and coated in resin and placed under a magnification device so people can see what REAL silicon looks like when the hood's opened.
I have 20 so far...need many more though to give a show..Hell, I'll even take AMD too.
I show no prejudice in my electrosurgical methods,
they all die equally, but do NOT float though.
Let's see, what CPUs would be "fun" to fracture....PIs, PIIs, PIIIs...PPros...486DX4/100s....you get the pic I think*S*.

Finally; a person that "sees" what the P4 WILL become and not what it is currently(WHEW).
With so many "experts" touting how a change from 1.2 Ghz to 2.2 Ghz will make XXX run faster, how about better, Hmmm?
Faster is good, as long as that speed increase ALSO allows faster and STABLE throughput advances as well, otherwise one might as well run a pair of
486DX4/100s with a few gigs of memory and superclocked to boot(pipelined, of course).
Why CPU speed is so important when the whole system is in dire need of revamping, THAT is what's really needed, not raw CPU clock speeds.
The P4 is just starting to grow and "walk" now....but soon, we'll all see apps targeted for the huge bandwidth that has yet to be tapped into, let alone made use of with out-of-date whetstone this; drystone that "speed" tests that prove NADA about the TOTAL SYSTEM THROUGHPUT, not just the dumb CPUs core architecture!
Athlon/Duron this, P-whatever that...SO WHAT!
Personal choices dictate what we buy and use, no matter what is talked about on/..
I don't see the relevance of AMD over INTEL when the main discussion is over clock speed; it's useless data that many here neither make use of, nor need, just a form of bragging rights to say that, Hey! I've got an Athlon that'll blast those chumpy PIIIs out the hatch, and those PII users claiming the Athlon is crappy oven gear!
It all boils down to one thing ONLY....CHOICE!
If I "want" a P4, but can only afford a Celeron, so what...same goes for those crying for sledgehammers being able to afford only a K5 CPU..
It's all about choice and now; price.
I have been reading numerous threads over clock cycles and it's getting to be very monotonous to say the least. NOBODY cares for processing POWER,
the true measure of ALL systems, not just clock cycles......It's how fast you can do many things at once and still maintain a high throughput speed on the CPU, bus, FPU/ALU and video.
How many here can run this oft exhalted "quake" game to the max, PLUS access I-net, browse, chat and still keep the whole system running at the rated clock speed/s? NONE, I am more than willing to bet....shame though, 'cuz THAT is where the speed comes into play. "Power is the system, not the CPU"!(not alone, anyhow).
If the clock speed of any CPU is so "hot"...take the damn thing out of its "cage" and run the whole system without the support architecture...can't be done, huh? Chipsets, bus architecture/s, memory, cache, H.D. access speed; all of the "system" comes into play heavily, and that is where you MUST begin. Slowest component that needs speeding up, then the next and so on....til you have the fastest PC on the planet. Then of course,
it'll be time to buy new again because AMD/INTEL desided to up the anty and "make" you get more, faster, better, slicker...LMAO!
Now people, I give to us all; the transistor!
My silicon is better, faster and able to do xx calcs. in x seconds...Hmmm, sounds like AMD/Intel
are trying to outdo each other in market ploys instead of REAL WORLD designing! How fast any device is or can be in the PC world is mainly allowed by the whole system's architecture, and NOT the CPU alone. Design a GOOD 64-bit bus, run the damn thing AT the CPU clock and PORT the useless data not related to ops back to the system cache, then give the CPU freedom to calc the needed ops and route that data to the card/bus that makes use of it, but also keeping the bus at the rated throughput and not giving in to high latency junk ram(bus)..Etc...
Proper extensions should be used and exclusive/s should be relegated to some form of low-order cache for second-tier processing AFTER the main(core) job is completed.
processing power and throughput occur only when the clock cycles are utilized properly and not clogged up with silly instructions forcing CPU time to drop from executing a dump of some irrelevant hex format, or exclusion that is not even being currently used, but stored...for what,
CPU posterity?
Since i am NOT a programmer, but I do run servers and yes, LANs too...not to mention Windoze; i use ALL my apps at the same time, and never 1 then 2 then 3 and so on...throughput is MAX USE, MAX TIME and at MAX SPEED...THAT, my friend/s..IS throughput, not raw CPU clock cycles!
And by the way....two separate CPUs running the same speed do NOT make 4.4 Ghz.!
The sum of BOTH processors is STILL 2.2 Ghz.!
If you added a clock that both CPUs used simultaneously and together, THEN you would get that clock speed, but NEVER when there are two processors side by side, doing separate tasks.
"Clock doubling" by pairing CPUs theory would be great, it's just not reality.
If that were the case, does my DMA timer in my "ancient" Zenith TurboSport now run twice as fast and allocates DMA timing faster as well?
What works for one "must" work for the "other" as well, otherwise, that theory is junque!

Citizens also owns/operates a local ISP known aas New North Net(known from this time on as NNN). The chief moron is a guy that is never on the premises, or if he is; he;s elsewhere. They have a woman running the network that has NO computer experience other than word, Etc.. NOT any network background. Their standard excuse for NNNs constant disconnects is: It MUST be YOUR modem..you know most software modems have "no" filtering like a "hardware" modem, PLUS. software modems are not as well shielded against interference from your(my) amateur radio equipment, and THAT is what is causing you to be disconnected..sure, I live on the radio 24 hours a day, and never turn it off. I talked to the manager about "service" I pay for and why I am dumped so damn often...he ranted about my paying for service, I said DISCONNECTS are NOT SERVICE...GO FIX THE DAMN NETWORK! I found out that NNN had the install done by the equipment mfgrs. BUT, they decided to run the network without KNOWING how it functions...NO WONDER they have problems! Oh, MY ISP's dial up is 715.365.0000 Try it...ping the net! Better yet, PING their brains, listen for hollow ringing! Screw "secret" dialups....that IS their actual dialup line for Rhinelander! *Be important, know everything*!
First, it's HYDRODYNAMICS, the study of motion/s in an aqueous solution(water). As the water flowing over the surfaces of ANY vessel, it makes/produces noises that are detectable by sonar; since water is the BEST conductor of audio we have, this allows the topside ship to sweep given areas of known operations of the "enemy" and use triangulation of other sweepers to vector positional locations and speed as targeting references. Noises are minimized with flooring composed of rubber. Deck surfaces can be covered with sound reduction coatings as well, but this is a higher speed to stealth cost too, not to mention the turbulence added to the wake of the vessel when operating surface and especially sub-surface. Thermal imaging can be used under water as well as on the surface. heat is dissipated faster in water, but close range should be possible.(I never used thermal imaging, so the above comment is made as a suggestion only).
I'll have you cuffed and stuffed faster than the red ink in your pen dries on paper...TRESPASS is a crime and I have a very itchy finger too*S*!
Hiding any legal document is the same as fraud!
I know people that think because they burned a CD on theirs or another's burner, there's no "possibility" the disk could have a virus on it. I asked how it's NOT possible, given that the data you burned the CD with may have been infected some time before, you just never scanned it or thought it possibl;e before, but it is definately a very distinct reality to ponder. EULA's even come with limited use software, those that are "trial-size" with almost no functionality, except for the routing .bat/.exe files and so on....you get a "feel" of how the "real" stuff works....

It stated that the U.S. has the right to enforce it's will against any person, regardless of where they live, and at any time George Bush/Asscroft may deem fit to enforce. Well, go look at www.free-sklyarov.net for my response to this blatant disregard to national soveriegnty(eaerme@newnorth.net). I HATE what this government has now become, and it gets worse every damn year, thanks in part by Clinton and his hit squads, the D.O.J and the F.B.I are now bedfellows with Microshaft's "Bill" and more, unseen "partners" to governmental crimes against the people of the U.S., TREASON really!
Norinco made some great 1911A1 copies that were great to modify into "super" race guns, I built four and my "super" super comp is rigged for light target loads, extended mag capacity(yes, 15 rounds!), with a 4 "port" compensator to eliminate muzzle flips.
I see the box has NO legal contract information on the OUTSIDE defining the rights of the company or the consumer. Does hiding a contract negate the legal bindings of seller/buyer "contracts" if the buyer was not aware of such documents up front, it MUST be legally and morally INVALID, and hence NON-ENFORCEABLE because every contract/agreement I signed, i had to READ and agree FIRST in order for the contract/agreement to become legal and binding.
Gee, I suppose my Desert Eagle in .50AE WILL get used for target practice then, huh?
Okay, here goes a small sampling: 10 mils = 10/1,000s inch, or .10
100 mils = 1/10th of an inch, or .10
1,000 mils is...ONE INCH!
get it?
Got it?
GOOD!!!
Good day!
Thank you fellow power users for your generous gifts....
Sincerely
Crazy Ivan...
Finally; a person that "sees" what the P4 WILL become and not what it is currently(WHEW). With so many "experts" touting how a change from 1.2 Ghz to 2.2 Ghz will make XXX run faster, how about better, Hmmm? Faster is good, as long as that speed increase ALSO allows faster and STABLE throughput advances as well, otherwise one might as well run a pair of 486DX4/100s with a few gigs of memory and superclocked to boot(pipelined, of course). Personal choices dictate what we buy and use, no matter what is talked about on /..
My silicon is better, faster and able to do xx calcs. in x seconds...Hmmm, sounds like AMD/Intel are trying to outdo each other in market ploys instead of REAL WORLD designing! Proper extensions should be used and exclusive/s should be relegated to some form of low-order cache for second-tier processing AFTER the main(core) job is completed. processing power and throughput occur only when the clock cycles are utilized properly and not clogged up with silly instructions forcing CPU time to drop from executing a dump of some irrelevant hex format, or exclusion that is not even being currently used, but stored...for what, CPU posterity?
