Metal Gear Solid 2 was scary, when you got into the the big ship...cant remember what its called, you get the millitary fella going "put down the controller, you cant face this game" and generally doing the whole psyche out. Of course i played this part at 3am which didnt help.
Yup, i'm one of them. I got SOCOM with my network adapter and after 3-4 weeks the game was ruined with aimbot and invisbility hacks. Since then i've binned it.
Dunno, 80k for a wireless link with just the minimal of support fees sounds good, especially for 45mbps. Considering the facts that theres no telco fees involved with a wireless point-to-point solutions (unless i'm being extremely dumb).
While i dont do much Java development but sometimes i help my friends with some debugging work for Uni. I personally like the way Java works on OSX compared to Windows, on Windows it seems more of a extra but on OSX it seems inbuilt.
The general workflow of OSX is much better, for the bigger projects i think Xcode (note, I THINK) can handle java apps.
So yes i agree with the parent, take some Java code to a Apple Store / Reseller and ask em nicely if you can test it.
Heh, i could send you a photo of it if you dont belive me, it looks like its been run over by a car... Also i'll give you the photo of the steps as well:)
Now i've got a REAL monster, a Pentium 1 133mhz IBM thinkpad from a long time ago. Its been dropped down about 3 flights of concreate stairs, been hit in the LCD screen by a football a few times, survived the fury of a 6 year old kid, dropped on tarmac from 3-4ft.
The verdict? A nackered case, a flickery LCD, but a perfect, no badcluster HDD and it still works perfectly.
Me and a few friends (around 15-20) are going to email our local MP to get him to bring up questions on constituant's behalf... After all they really should do this as they are our representives.
One thing i question about the encryption keys thingie is what my friend said...
How can they force you to incriminate yourself by handing over keys, and if you dont they send you to prision. My friend said this controvines the EU human rights act, where you can't be forced to hand over anything which may incrimate yourself.
"Indivuals who make a copy of a copyrighted DVD, CD or music file, whether for back-up or for use on another device such as an MP3 player, are committing a crime."
Yay MP3 players in the UK are illegal? So if you can't encode your originals into mp3 format and put em on your mp3 player, whats the point? woohoo! God bless the MPs! The goverment amuses me sometimes...
As a UK council IT person trying to push Linux into here...i can say its a hard deal. Local councils get a very favourable deal from Microsoft and cause they've been there for a long time its not gonna change soon.
Change takes a long time in local councils and its going be a VERY long time before we go to Linux servers, never mind linux desktops.
Sounds like a Sony Erricson P800 to me...check them out there all in one solution. Being a fellow iPod user i know it will be hard to give up the wads of space to move back to memory card. As for your GB, keep it!
Ahh yes but it looks like spammers have worked around that one too. We've got a similar scheme like that on our website but still our sales address (which is only advertised on that one site using that scheme) still gets about 4-5 spams a week. Yes its not alot but still you can harvest it.
Unfortunaty Si, looks like our channel could be under threat if Carol Vorderman and the UK Gov have there way.
Remember the minority always ruins it for the majority (votes, bush/gore...u know:))
Yes, with Carol Vorderman on the Goverment's side i wouldn't be suprised if they outlawed chatrooms and irc servers in the UK, it will be a dark day when this happens...
This will be interesting since mp3 versions of all my legit cd are stored on my fileserver, where my Slimp3 streams from...since i am "filesharing" this means im breaking the law? eh? IANAL...
Looks like LucasArts have finally accepted theres alot of fans wanting to create works around there fave films... Hopefully this will be the start of something better for all the mod makers out there trying to make a movie spinoff mod.
I seen em at ECTS, and when they started saying "we experimented with this" every minute or so you can see there are some good techie twiddlers there still:)
two men dressed as characters from 'Counter Strike'
They're called Special Forces in some countries and Terrorists in others, unless they're talking about the Chickens, then thats just bizzar.
Of course theres the fact that Nefertiti has never been found, as the "body" they thought was her actually tested geneticlly as male.

Call out Hutton, we've got some SCO execs to question and white wash!
Why can't I buy a motherboards without a serial port, a parallel port, two ps/2 ports, and a line-in audio port?
:)
You can, its called a ABIT legacy-free motherboard
It was only made for x86 and Alpha, NOT ppc.
