MS: "We finally have a 64-Bit version of Windows. Page file and virtual memory sizes have increased substantially. In recognition of this, all native Windows apps and all new releases of Office, Visual Studio.Net, and other core Microsoft products will be quickly bloated to take full advantage of these new sizes!"
It's interesting that we have folks who will lament that a given program will fork, and thus split the resources of a given development team. However, we will actually take seriously that a group of scientists....SCIENTISTS...have actually studied unpopped kernels of popcorn! UNPOPPED KERNELS OF POPCORN!....POPCORN!? And they were probably paid with tax-payer dollars! This is just sad! But I suppose humorous.
I worked for a company once that wanted to get rid of all server shares and replace them with e-mail folders. This, folks, is just wrong!
You know me, Marge! I like my beer cold, my TV loud, and my shared documents AWAY from my email server!
I think the point was in jest and a jab at the fact that bugs are found far after all of the "testing" you mention. Still, things get by and are found much later. Couple that with Bill Gates offering to license beta software the other day and these jabs aren't without some merit.
Greenblatt's not alone in this. There are PLENTY of people with over-inflated images of themselves pontificating on this very subject. Many have gone so far as to suggest we actually care. I know I first got wind of this from George, the groundskeeper. I know, at least on the U.S. side, it spread from there. Who knows the ramifications? Someone might actually give $hit, if we're not careful.
Maybe it's me, but I don't see this as a solution to a real need. I'd rather the focus be put on the OS better handling large file transfers and manipulation. If I want to find something on my machine Search and find work fine. Guess I'm just getting old.
You're on crack. Linux, while playing more games than OSX, is still WTF behind Windows. Look, I love Linux. I use Linux. But if you bring up games, then stick to the point. If games are your yardstick, run Windows. If you like the subset of games that Mac and Linux run, then fine. But don't try to pull "games" as a trump for Linux. I can just as easily pull "desktop." Mac beats Linux and Windows on the desktop, period. Linux only marginally runs more games than Mac.
All you can do is clarify and explain. I only deal with "Critical," "Major" and sometimes "Medium" risk categories. The rest are usually stupid. "You have a share." "Yeah, it's called user directories or shared data drives." As long as you have answers and can show the risk is minimal, if existent, then you may have done all you can.
Okay, go to any hospital and you'll see a species begetting more of its species. In front of many Wal-Mart are proof of cats breeding and producing, dogs? a new at species? Nope! Just more cats.
As for this article, "early Earth favorable for life" seems a bit obvious whether your an Evolutionist, Creationist, or whatever.
No but there are morons who believe that's what anyone who says, "Maybe we shouldn't let kids play just any game, view just any movie, listen to just anything" want to paint it as.
Anyone who thinks there is NO link to what you see/experience/read/hear/etc. and behavior is a complete moron. Even if you HAVE a degree. To think otherwise simply display's your "sign." I loath to agree with Hillary, and I'm fairly certain this is merely to give the illusion that she's a moderate, but comment on her position. Any attempt to argue that pre-teen boys can simply watch all this stuff and not be affected makes one look foolish.
Look, you want a body that promotes Libya to head its Human Rights wing and passes toothless resolutions? The fact that they pass resolutions they have no intentions of enforcing is reason enough not to hand over the Internet to them.
You can always tell those who haven't used a Mac. Once you do, be a blessing or a curse, your eyes glaze over and you stare like a juvenile boy looking at his first Playboy spread.
Yeah, like they know to go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Office\Word\ now and find winword.exe? Why don't they just go find it in the menu like they do with Windows? Oh, because your whole point would be moot.
That is an excellent point. This is where their whole system breaks down. I think there's the makings of a suit in that point. Unfortunately, class-action suits are pointless.

You, Sir, are an idiot and I assume haven't had a college education.
Funded by "Purdue's Whistler Center for Carbohydrate Research," Schmuck. You think Purdue is a privately funded U?
Yeah, there was something about Kate you couldn't put your finger one. What with restraining orders and stalking laws.

"If you're too drunk to drive, just say AOL Keyword "Cab" and a taxi will pick you up!
That is aboslutely idiotic. You totally missed the point. Don't breed....please.
Dude! They're not taking away public TV!
Never work? You might be surprised how much of it is working...even now.
If stores were required to post the out of pocket price in bold this would all come to a stop....VERY quickly.

But not all SUV's are 4x4's. The rest of your point is nice, though
