I have been using Palemoon with NoScript since I switched to Palemoon when FF dropped the old extensions. I have never had a problem. Palemoon will warn you that there are potential conflicts with NoScript, but you can still enable and use it.
I guess this never came to the US in the last 5 years. All my Motorola phones have had an NFL app that I have and would never use, but I can't delete it, only disable it. This is really frustrating because it's using up valuable storage space.
It's just a string in a database somewhere. They could literally charge anything. 25,000$ is just some arbitrary number. It seems outrageous to pay that much when there are so many cheaper alternatives available. Maybe if you have a brand new company, get a cheap one first, then go for the expensive one in a few years if things are going well.
An open TLD, any person or entity is permitted to register. Conceived for those cited in one of the Who's Who reference titles published around the world, the registry was opened for use by private individuals, and for-profit and nonprofit entities, including those with social media aspirations. Registry policies allow for rapid takedown of non-compliant domains, for violations including imposturous registration of another's names, and proscribed uses, including pornography or adult services/applications.
So yeah, it's basically a domain for narcissists to show off. It is totally ridiculous, and I can't imagine anyone getting this.
mega.co.nz claims to have end-to-end encryption. As for how scummy they are, I guess it depends on if you trust the New Zealand government or Kim Dotcom.:)
It easily could. We have a Chromebook and a Chromebit, and both are perfectly fine for doing most common tasks (email, youtube, etc.). They can run Libreoffice, and therefore could replace windows for most business employees, which would kill M$.
Tell that to Starbucks. They partnered with Arizona State University several years ago and started offering 1 free bachelor's degree to every employee (each semester the employee pays up front, and gets reimbursed at the end of the semester), and also provide free health insurance to all employees with a minimum average of 20 hours per week. Starbucks is usually considered an entry-level job, but they recognize that helping their employees with these basic needs benefits them in the long run. That's how all companies should be. Many are and get no credit for it.
This is a legitimate question. Most people on slashdot seem to hate systemd. And most of you are programmers and work on Linux every day. Why don't you guys get together and create a new init system that blows systemd away? Isn't that what the whole spirit of FOSS is about?
If you look at FF's market share, they have been on a consistent slide down ever since they dropped the old chrome/XUL addons. Their market share was holding steady at or above 6% before then, but they are now below 5% and have fallen more behind each month since they were dropped in Dec, 2017.
I would disagree about FF not having a hidden agenda. They used to be innovative and supported standards better than the other browsers, and had a ton of incredibly useful and unique addons. Over the years they have lost all these things and just follow whatever Chrome is doing now. You used to be able to fully customize the UI, but you can't even do that now. All the awesome addons broke with FF 57. They may not track you like google, but their agenda now is to copy chrome in every way possible.
XUL still lives right now in Palemoon.
Absolute unit!

What kind of trouble did you get in?
Not hard to find a hooker in CA, but it is hard to find a 100-inch one.
You can still use XUL and all the old extensions in Palemoon. New Palemoon version released Tuesday of this week!
Exactly. Stories have been around about this on the iphone for 6+ years: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-09-17/kids-racking-up-huge-bills-on-mobile-games/4266632

LOL! You win the day!
Let me tell you how good amazon's AI is - it suggested that we set up a subscription to auto-order a mortar and pestle each month.
Where is app guy?!
If you want to actually find stuff on your computer at instantaneous speed, use Everything by voidtools.
That's wierd, because I'm using Palemoon with noscript running right as I type this. I agree with you on everything else, though.
Sir, I believe that is a crime against humanity. Please report to the local commisar.

I copied a 51.8 GB file from one SSD to another last night in about 5 minutes on Win 7.
If he's still using a Pentium Pro with Slackware he's most likely the neighborhood nerd.
