Speakeasy seems to be the best way to go if you want to host your own sites. My friend in Acworth (suburb of Atlanta), GA, has my domain sitting on a box on his Speakeasy DSL which is 1.5/384 ADSL. He's only being charged about $100-$120 for the 4 or so IPs and DSL connection.
Consequently I'm getting charged only $30...so it's a pretty good deal to run one domain on a P3 1 GHz, 512 MB RAM, 30 GB HDD machine.

Let's see...using standard bellsouth adsl...1.5 Mbps download speed from a mirror over HTTP...or 4 kBps download speed using a P2P program. Not a tough choice there.
It also starred Bruce Boxleitner, one of the worst actors of any generation...
It is quite obvious Bruce Boxleitner acts well enough to be in not only film, but also, two television series, one of which won many emmys. Granted, the emmys aren't necessarily the best way to judge a TV series, but if you actually watchBabylon 5, you wouldn't see him as such a terrible actor.
Athens isn't the only place starting things like this. Valdosta State University has a wireless network spread out over most of the campus. Supposedly there is Wi-Fi being setup in Valdosta itself, nothing known whether or not it is a free service venture.
The reason the hatches took no less than 90 seconds to open is because NASA wanted to prevent another Liberty Bell 7 incident (MR-4) where the hatch supposedly blew off prematurely. Poor Gus Grissom was apparently not intended to make it out of the space program alive.

The geek population is becoming extinct due to the lack of sex in the last 5 years.
Captain dislexia got to the poster on this one...here's the links in the correct order:

What qualifications do you require for granting a patent to someone?

GA Tech also has a couple of projects going on here and here.
Georgia Southwestern State University also has an endeavour. As does the Medical College of Georgia.
