um not that I don't agree with some of what you're saying but 3% of DC's population versus 3% of Uganda and/or Kenya's population is like comparing 3% of one apple to 3% of a barrel of apples...
we just give up on mmo's and micro transaction based flash games and go back to some good old Tabletop Gaming with friends that uses our brains and some funny looking dice - if you really need a computer, there are excel characters sheets and virtual dice that will run on any platform?
but it definitely won't keep it's longevity without LAN support, I mean the best thing about games like Starcraft or even FPS like BF1942 was the LAN aspect of getting your friends together ordering a pizza, talking shit and zerging each other. Sure, I can throw on a headset and play with friends, but what if battle.net is down? What if I'm getting a lot of lag...fast paced game players don't have the tolerance of players who are into mmo's exclusively. I think Blizz is making a poor decision.
No really, you took a job where everything is your fault.
It's your fault that emails are delayed, it's your fault people can't view their html emails properly, it's your fault Windows is crashing, it's your fault the network is slow, it's your fault the sky is cloudy and it's your fault we're in a recession.
Just figure out the answers to all of the worlds problems and you'll be ok.
"(ARPU) is between one and two dollars a month, but only about 10% of his player base has ever paid him anything. As a result, he says, approximately 5,000 gamers are generating the $230,000 in revenue"
So 10% of the player base is paying him and that player base equals 5,000 people. So there are 50,000 people a month playing - nice.
But wait a sec...ARPU is only $2 on the top end and 5,000 people pay this, so that's $10,000 a month - where is the other $220,000 coming from!!!!! Even if all 50k people were spending $2 a month that's be $100k - Where did I miss something?
OH I GET IT NOW - From the actual article.... "Indeed, James reveals that Three Rings' MMO Puzzle Pirates takes in approximately $50 each month from each paying user (ARPPU) for a total of $230,000 a month, all resulting from microtransactions."
This is different than what the blurb mentioned - I guess it did get me to read, but only this time - you're tactics won't always work on me!
I know, I know, I'm horrible - but although I enjoy some StarTrek I don't care enough for it to go outside to see it. I'd rather stay inside with my lego jawa's
Considering the usual spots online already have Win7 beta/release candidate whatever you call it and have it running just fine (for the most part as beta can be) on many machines I don't see any hope for MS to be able to do anything about the pirating of their OS, short of the "no updates to non-genuine users" which to me just says to the public:
We'd rather let many systems be vulnerable to exploit so we can prove the point that pirating software is bad.
The movie will still have Kirk acting like a loose cannon, a rebel, exploring the galaxy on his own time, in his own place, doing his own thing, with any female that crosses his path...
sounds like they got the movie just right to me./shrug
Seemed like Symantec was one of the better AV/Security developers for windows for a long time, but recently - within the last 6 months or so - they seem to have just tanked in terms of credibility.
First it was them getting rid of customer services and now it's ignoring virii and security vulnerabilities.
There is a huge difference between being able to run javascript apps and run javascript apps well - not to forget that a lot of the javascript I see out there really only works on PC's with IE or Firefox, Opera and Safari, especially on OS X seem to have trouble with some sites that aren't coded for compatibility, but instead pushed out quickly with little regard for anything other than IE on Windows.
Office is available on OS X....http://www.microsoft.com/mac/ all the appz work the same as their pc counterparts though entourage = outlook, I have no idea why they call it something different.

So they are going to blow the moon up... this... this just seems like a bad idea and something I read in a book...
hahaha I read that part in the article and had the same flashback of Futurama in my head.

So how exactly does me LEAVING the country potentially flag me as an illegal immigrant?! Shouldn't you be scanning me as I ENTER the country?!
No. Really. It wasn't a good show. It shouldn't have continued. The story and acting were both B at best. I stopped after the first episode.
More room for more Famaily Guy now lol.
Was this article an attempt to promote Terminator 4?
I think you mean Windows ME (Millennium) but it worked opposite of this RC, it was only working for up to 2 hours per day.
"I just knew someone would one up my 43 minute mtg patent." ...Actually we just had a meeting right now, you and me.

He'll figure out a way to get his head in Jar and go on forever like those celebrities in Futurama...
Ever since EZTV started having HD versions of shows I haven't used anything other than my computer -> media center -> plasma...
why the UN is never taken seriously by anyone, anywhere, at anytime about anything.
