I bet that we could setup a laser array that could heat the air (what little of it there is) under this things wings so he would go up high enough to be unable to get back down. Then he'd stop doing this kind of pointless crap.
I know its not doable due to basic physics. Still, a geek can dream.
is the same as the problem with OS/2. People dont want to re-write their applications for native support. I expect very few apps to be codeed for Hammer because its 32bit compatiblity is so good. An application devloper can write for old 32bit x86 and target Hammer and x86 at the same time. Just like devloeprs could once write applications for Windows 3.1 and have them run on Windows and OS/2. Not that the CPU wont do well, but I dont expect it to ever get the kind of support it wants.
I have never lurked around dark tunnels running from ghosts and eating pills I find on the ground. I have never had the urge to strut up and down the street making Boop Boop noises. I have never felt the need to grab a BFG and go hunting demons. Video games have yet to affect my real life at all (other then reducing the amount of time I spend there). If you don't want your kids to play these games don't let them. Do not turn to society as a whole to police what your kids can do.
They are assuming that people who use a product should have paid for it. Stealing something because you wouldn't pay for it anyway in no way makes it less of a theft. If you use the software you owe the company money for it.
But Microsoft, like most console makers, is losing money on the hardware sale. They expect to make money on the sale of software, so a system that lets people run software that wont profit MS means that they lose money overall.
I know it makes me want to start playing around again. I did some work in high school invloving radio isotopes and their effects on plant life. I had a nice glass and lead container to test with and made a few funky plants (real high mutation levels).
Morrowind has 500 hours of "pick up item A take to location B". Sorry, this got old after the first day. The world in Morrowind, while nice to look at, is devoid of any real content. They should have just updated the graphics for Dagger Fall.
Aren't we past due for the poles to flip?
What the HELL are you talking about son?
DSL 3MB for 80$.
Those bastards are making -595$ a month proifit. How dare they.

Lets sacrifice him to our God.
Yup. I think ia64 is doomed. At least from a consumer standpoint.

Along those lines I may have to release a GPL version of my electric weasel.
Slashdoter.
I mean who the hell wants to eat somthing called that?
And dont you TRY AND MAKE HIM.
It would be reminiscent of Sam and Max Hit the Road.
Max: Mind if I drive?
Sam: Not at all, so long as you don't mind me clawing at the dashboard and screaming like a cheerleader.

You forgot to add "with games you can't get for a PC" to your statement.
At last my life has meaning again. No I can get a phone that plays MP3s, video clips and warns me if my fly is down.
Sorry, I just drank five too many Jolts.
Unless of course you have an AFDB.

However I'm surprised that the "Powers That Be" haven't killed this story since it has step by step directions on how to make uranium-233.
The hell?
Cousin Cletus is gona blow a gasket if Deer Hunter wont run on these things.
Seems that you can mount an ATX motherboard in these things. Kinda neat, be the envy of other geeks at the next lan party.
52$ OEM WinXP Home.
