Well, Greg, if you have to come to slashdot to ask lame questions about pc parts. I would suggest gettin yourself a Dell "dude!". Either get a backbone and do it yourself or go buy one, but dont waste are freakin time with ignorance. I can the next story from you in a few weeks being... "OK, I've ordered a motherboard, cpu , harddrive, case, powersupply, etc... But I'm unfamiliar with how to put all these things together.."

Ok, grab these things, a baseball, a straw, some paper and a friend. Go outside.... Make a nice spitball/dart with the paper. Insert it into the straw. Have your friend backup and pitch the baseball as hard and fast as he/she can straight into your face :) Now quickly, attempt to hit the baseball with the spitball before it gets to close to your face.

This has been going on for years!!! Major ISP's have always been a painintheass when you try to cancel your service. Especially if you just got done using your free hours, which, IMO is the only reasonable excuse for a tech savvy person to use AOL.

  17. What a shame... on Blizzard/Vivendi Files Suit Against Bnetd Project · · Score: 1

I know the EFF had good intentions when responing to Vivendi's lawyers claims. They obviously were trying to nip this in the bud and get the bnetd folks out of a law suit. However, pointing out the weaknesses in Vivendi's DMCA claims have now created a Traditionl copyright case. Wouldn't it have been great if they actually went with the DMCA claims and bnetd was triumphant? Although, I guess if bnetd by some reason had lost the case, would have given more power to the DMCA. Still it seems that Blizzard does not have a leg to stand (just a big pile of $$$$) on with their latest claims.
