This is the problem with Oblivion. The game is always tuned so it's the same level of difficulty. There is no loss... and thus no sense of accomplishment with coming back and kicking ass later.
Besides, whoever was being Dungeon Master knew they couldn't get away with killing off a bunch of player characters quickly, no matter what the dice said, or they would quickly find themselves very much alone.
One of my favorite campaigns I ever made up had me killing all the players one by one so they could be recruited by a demon in hell -- and of course "earn" their lives back with an appropriate task. I didn't even have anything written out for it. I just nailed them all for no good reason within the first fifteen minutes.;)
Dude, haven't you heard? There's no PS3 shortage [penny-arcade.com].
I like Penny Arcade and all too but that kind of bugged me. A couple systems on the shelf is not particularly abundant and then you clicked over to the comments section and there is a big ad for all their shit for sale on Xbox Live Marketplace.
So, tell me again how the dems managed to cause this problem when they were utterly out of power for the last for the last decade.
I'm confused.
From 1994->1999 the Democrats had the Presidency and the Republicans had Congress.
Then from 2000-2006 the Republicans had both.
Now the Democrats have Congress and the Republicans have the Presidency (which has not been uncommon in the last half century).
Does this mean that unless you control both sides you are utterly out of power? Are the Republicans utterly out of power now, or were they utterly out of power for the three decades they did not control Congress? And where does this put the Greens and the Libertarians? Is there some definition of utterly of which I'm not aware?
This shows why you should never trust a corporation to make decisions about safety and the value of human life. They'll choose the bottom line over safety every time.
Absolutely. And the government can't be trusted either.
Additional note: IBM (and other chip manufacturers) have a vested interest in telling everyone that parallelism is the future. They can't make faster chips anymore, they can only compete on sheer number of cores.
It occurs to me that if that is true then they are probably right.

That they really would like a McDonald's in Saigon?
The Blu-ray drive's slow transfer rate is only made worse by the fact that high definition games have to pull a lot more data off of the disc and the hack discussed in the article will only improve the seek time. I can't help but think that Sony going with Blu-ray at this point in time was ill-advised. If Blu-ray were a bit more mature they would have faster drives. As it is now, they're trading speed for capacity and games REALLY need speed and if they lack capacity it's generally feasible to spread the game across multiple discs.
Every game I have played on the PS3 has offered to install itself to the harddrive. I can easily delete unused games.

People have done this on other platforms before for the same reasons - particularly the PSP, with its horrible UMD seek times. However, it does rather negate the whole increased storage capacity advantage."
I wonder if Bethseda is aware there is a harddrive on all PS3's that games can be installed to?
However, I would ask, why incite them to join? So what? There are many more women than men in law school and medical school. For years, it was the other way around. Incentive programs and scholarships helped tilt the balance. No reason to fire up programs now to incite men back into the fields.
So now I'm sure there are a myriad of program designed to bring men into the field to solve this new imbalance, right?
Yeah, thought so.
Its not a zero sum game, there are plenty of high paying jobs (medicine and law) that women are clearly interested in. No reason to pull them away just to make the IT world seem "gender equal".
It's not a worry that they'll "take err jerbs"... it's the misallocation of resources that could go towards people that are really actually interested and not people with the right set of pink bits.

God that was fun.
Unfortunately, as the size of the puzzle increases to a level above what a human would ever try the sudoku solver would take a long, long time.
And they didn't say the size of the puzzle they solved! So the demonstration could be: look, solves 9x9 *blink* done. Ok, 100x100 *blink* done.

Hmmm, something's fishy here.
Sony could put up a PSP campaign saying "white is right"...
The PSP campaign wasn't in the US.
Government... the cause of and solution all of life's problems.

Really trying to follow you here.
Can you say, "No bid contract"?
And bidding for a contract isn't particularly agile.
I did not see bidding in the description of the process above.
"... To build the device, they approached a small California company, Computer Deductions Inc..."
Nope. No bidding.
You were saying?
100 people a day is, seriously, something to sneeze at.
You're right! That's terrible! I was thinking it was like 25 to 30, which is just peachy.
I can't believe this ran! This reporter was shockingly lazy.
That's it! We've found one! Turn in your keycard and know that we are changing all passwords!

Absolutely. And the government can't be trusted either.
The only one you can trust? Yourself.
I really don't know what you see yourself doing if you AREN'T using those on a regular basis.
What's wrong with the present?
Because in the future we will have much better tools for creating a better future.
How do I mod you Insightful, Informative, Flamebait, and Troll all at the same time?
4. From 1 and 3, the existence of bombs is a contradiction. Thus we are safe forever. QED
All I know is that I always carry my own bomb when I ride on an airplane because, hey, two bombs on an airplane? How unlikely is that!?!
6. Move the object card deck from the card punch 'out' bin to the card reader 'in' bin.
So that's why they're named ".bin" files!
Stupid legacy naming conventions!

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 . . . . . . . Right? Right? What'd I win?

I read both. I aplogize if I was unclear.
The question is why? Why is an inequality in the favor of men no reason? Maybe you were being sarcastic too.
Not interested in name calling though.
Or, in other words, men make the bulk of the wealth in the world, even though i find it highly unlikely that this is solely based on merit (
And walking through the nearest shopping mall it seems that, at least on a personal level, women spend the bulk of it.
