Wait a minute. Didn't Lloyds say they were offshoring *TO* the United States? I know offshoring usually is bad, but in this case it's good for the U.S., right?
John Deere doesn't want to give its customers the ability to change the software that is controlling their farm equipment - for fear that will somehow allow the customer to "make their own" farm equipment. This is funny to me, because, humans have been farming without software for centuries!
What is Cyberfox? How is it different than Firefox? The summary mentions Mozilla, and I know that Mozilla makes Firefox, but I have used Mozilla products for about 15 years, and I have never even heard of Cyberfox. Did someone just have a stroke and replace all occurrences of "fire" with "cyber"?
Your submission should answer more questions than it raises!
A classic computer mouse (when they weren't optical, but actually used a ball) has not one but 2 optical spinners in it. That shouldn't be too hard to work out.
Do you know how many CRT monitors have dead pixels? The answer is none, because consumers would not stand for that. Plus, there were about 40+ previous years of manufacturing improvements that helped eliminate manufacturing errors of the phosphors in CRTs. So you can either complain (which is what the switch owners are doing), or wait until manufacturing technology matures.
No need to go to the analog hole to record a stream. You could use wireshark to record all the incoming packets. Pure digital. Keep your fingers out of my analog hole!
You can replace the monitor in most cabinets with a 21" LCD for about $100. If the main board dies, you can emulate the game on mame using a raspberry pi. This means that you can remove the HUGE and very inefficient power supply, and replace it with a small 5v switcher. The game will run, it will last longer, it will consume less power, and it will weigh less. Wins all around!
You seem to think that you will be singled out, and advertised to directly. I don't think that's the case. In order for billboard makers to make any money, the ads need to be seen by as many people as possible. You think that during rush-hour that a billboard will know exactly who each driver is, single him out, and ignore the rest? Nope!
My father likes to tell me stories about when telemarketers or scammers call him on his home phone. However, I have been unable to convince him to get a cell phone. He doesn't like the idea of anyone being able to contact him at any time no matter where he is. "You know", I said, "you don't *HAVE* to answer the phone if you don't want to". He doesn't seem to grasp the concept of ignoring phone calls. I don't get it.
A friend of mine has a visual impairment. He isn't totally blind, but needs to be REALLY CLOSE to words in order to make them out. He often writes technical documentation for his job, and implements various design rules to make it easier to find the part you want in his documents. He doesn't have to do it, but it certainly helps him when he needs to refer to the documentation himself in the future.
He would have totally designed this card right the first time. PWC probably just had some low level employee do it.
That video is HILARIOUS!
Humans anthropomorphize machines all the time. Maybe we should blame Hanna/Barbera for making "The Jetsons".

You have been late for 32 meetings last year. You're fired.
Maybe the monkeys had a vocal language that the "scientists" just didn't understand, and they conveyed the consequences to the new monkeys.
What's the opposite of a robotic worker? A biological one? Some humans working low-end jobs are already more robotic than robots.
Yes! I agree. Let him see his password as he types it. I'm standing over his shoulder....
Haven't you ever heard of "cracking software"?
Why is it that advertisers insist on showing me ads for products that I already use?

How do you eat an E-Mail?
If you place the order yourself, and the order is wrong, you have nobody to blame but yourself. Next please.

When I see one, I think "God, what a maintenance nightmare!"

That just dis-incentivizes anyone from registering as republican or democrat. Don't register - no robocall onslaught.
It's unfortunate that he was negligent.

Maybe that's what the battery technology will be named: Good Enough.
You know, like PGP is "Pretty good".
Replace "Homer" with "George Jetson", and then get off my lawn.
