Yes, but the problem arised, that Prof Pillenger (the lead scientist) was spending his time lobbying around and travelling to major institutions begging for money for the entire project, instead of being able to put his time and expertise into perfecting the design.. the project was underfunded from the outset, but it shouldn't have been the person responsible for the design and testing that had to do all the financial work too... but thats what happens when you love a project and don't want to see it fail..

Although lots of people are bashing it, I think default is actually quite a good name (assuming that the router isn't still in its completely default config!) Linksys is not so good as it gives away the manufacturer and allows an attacker to target the attacks. I do however think that default is a lot better than people using house or family names, as that identifies where the AP is. Even using mordor or middleearth or similar can give away your interests, and thus possibly who you are to someone who knows your street well... default is nice and unassuming.

Lancaster Uni in the UK experimented with a 'Real Tournament' game using toy guns, ipaqs, wifi, gps, gprs and an electronic compass. Info here: http://www.mobileipv6.net/rt/handsets.htm/ The users position and direction is shown on the screen on a predetermined map and the user can fire at another user depending on the compass direction etc. If the user roams out of wifi range, IPV6 automatically hands off to GPRS. Clever stuff.

Actually yes, I have heard her speak unscripted, and she is actually an amazingly intelligent person with an excellent memory who knows and gets along personally with the majority of world leaders. It'd pay to have people as knowledgeable as her in politics. It might save us from yet another pointless war.

And you monarchy bashing trolls are getting seriously boring. I guess you are the sort that also want to rid the country of every other tradition that we have, become just another boring country and adopt ID cards so that we can all be numbered. Most countries are proud of their traditions.
