  1. Buy a hub on Abit's New Motherboard Lays On The Ports · · Score: 2

"I wish it had even more built-in USB ports, but six is a good start"

Am I the only one with so many wires connected to their PC that it looks like a plate of spaghetti? 4 ports is more than enough on the computer after that I found it's better to use a hub. I have one on the other desk where my printer and scanner are and one by the keyboard for my MP3 player and Digital Camera.

  3. Multiple Camera Angles on DVD Format Changing Movie-making · · Score: 2

Maybe more standard movies outside the adult film industry will start using this feature. Many movies are filmed using dozens of cameras and then only one shot is used in the movie. I think a lot of people would like to view certain key parts of a movie from diffrent angles (Again standard movies not adult movies)

Is Realism Destroying Video Games? NO

    What is destroying Video Games:

High Prices - $50 a game is just crazy

  5. I'm not defending them but... on Slashback: Deception, Fusion, Membership · · Score: 3, Insightful

Unisys has been in the computer buisness from the beginning long before Microsoft was around. After the fallout between Microsoft and IBM, Unisys became deeply involved with Micorsoft providing servers and direct tech support for Microsoft products. They are not as fortunate as IBM to have jumped off the boat long ago. Their siding with Microsoft because they have so much invested, if everyone went to Linux tommorow Microsoft would not be the only company to suffer.

  6. What's old seems new again on ATI vs. NVIDIA: The Next Generation · · Score: 2

ATI makes good products but I still have to give the nod to NVIDIA because of their all-in-one drivers that still support older cards. I installed the latest drivers on a 3 year old TNT chipset (Diamond Card) and actually noticed a performance gain. So if you are using an older (NVIDIA TNT/VANTA on up) video card, try the latest drivers (Detonator 28.32) they offer improvements across the board.

Certainly it was not the individuals personal problems that caused his suicide it was the video game. Certainly it was not my lack of attention to my son that caused his suicide it was the music he listened to. Certainly it was not my fault that I spilled the hot coffee on myself it was McDonalds for serving hot coffee. Certainly I should not be responsible for my own actions.... So label the game addictive, label the coffee hot, label the music bad and pay me a few million dollars for my mistake

  15. PC vs. Mac on Apple @ MacWorld Tokyo · · Score: 0, Flamebait

I guess one good side of being a PC user is that price goes down while the performance goes up. Although no one believes that the iMac price increase is due to manufacturing costs. If people will line up to pay $1800, why not charge them $1900 or more. It's nice to have a strong following especially if you can make them pay for it.

  23. My Exp. on The State of Recordable DVD's · · Score: 2

I was able to get the Pioneer DVR-A03 last year at work. I use it to archive data that can easily be read on other machines that only have a DVD reader. It works the same as any other CDR\CDRW drive, infact most the work I do on it is burning CD's. But I have been dealing with 1Gig+ files and needed more capacity. I did not like the fact that DVD+RW has major compatibilty issues (as stated in the article) and with DVD-R discs around $5.00 or less, it just seemed like the natural upgrade path from CDR. Pioneer is releasing a newer version (DVR-104) at around $400.00 but they are still a bit out of reach for me for home use.
