The idea that someone is going to add a blue tooth finder to a real rifle it just retarded. Why would you use an RF source when you have visible and ultra violet light? If you had a blue tooth sensor-jobie mounted on a gun and I had a standard scoped riffle, id put a pullet through both sides of your tinfoil hat every time. Don't you have a comet to catch anyway??
I was waiting for Tiger before I buy my iMac Mini. It looks like April might be the month that I become an official "I don't really use a Mac, but I do have one on a KVM" users. Id gets a new toy, yippeee!
She does make specific feature requests. I think she was pointing out that hers and other "feature requests" are mostly like talking to the wall. Please don't draw conclusions from 1/4 of the story.
So if you are not writing code of OSS then you are not entitled to an opinion? Also, she does contribute to things like look/feel/UI design etc. There is more to creating applications than filling in code but your attitude does explain why things are the way they are Eg. "If you want it, write it, if you won't write it, STFU"
The 35MHz ARM processor in my DVD player is pretty good at DVD playback too but that does not make it a desktop replacement. The benchmark also showed that the 1Ghz Via processor has a 38% slower CPU Integer performance than a 450MHz AMD K6-III. A 1 GHz via runs like a 333MHz AMD or Intel proc.
Not to mention that for most applications the overhead of forking to 2 processors is not worth the extra power. For most stuff a dual 1GHz rig would perform slower than a single 1.2Ghz processor. The 1Ghz + 1Ghz = 2GHz thing is just marketing math.
But after they make it big, they strike if they make 16 million a year instead of 23.
With the $1 per song that Apple charges, I would be shocked if the musicians saw more than 10 cents of that money (which is still more than CD sales). At 5 cents a song that would leave them with half a penny.
1 million song sales at half a penny each = $5,000. Also with _most_ artists and athletes, they are only "in the money" for a small number of years.
Hi, I am from Australia, I am trying to pay someone to help me kill myself but the money is in an account in the US that I don't have access to. I will give you 10% to help me recover the money.
If you are not going to get a PRI/T1 then you can not even utilize many of the things a PBX can do.
Isn't it sort of the point of VoIP that I don't need a T1? My internet connection actually puts a T1 to shame, it is just not a dedicated telephony circuit.
I am currently using Vonage for $15 a month, but they won't service a PBX. I want to run a PBX rather than an MTA/RJ-11 adapter because it lets me do some cool things with caller ID. Caller ID info is stripped by the last switch, so if I am running that switch incomming callers can't hide their info (eg. ANI). It also lets me modify my own outgoing caller ID info to anything I want.
So are there providers out there that would offer me "last switch" service, rather than just a glorified SIP phone?
Once I have the PBX running, how do I get my phone number routed to it? Do I have to sign a lease agreement with a CLEC for them to host and forward my number? What paperwork do I fill out to get my number released from the ILEC and to whom do I send it?
I could probably swing running the software and equipment, but I am lost with the administrative and telephony portion of having my own PBX.
PS. I actually tried to contact one of the people that predicted 1999 as the year of the linux desktop to see what they had to say but their email address was no longer valid. I remember being the minority back in 99/2000 for saying it would not happen, now here we are 3 months into 2005, which if I am not mistaken is the first year since 99 that nobody called "the year of the Linux desktop".
Why is it still in court?

SCO On the Rocks

But considering the length of time this has dragged on, the 900 million lines of code provided to them, and the fact that there has not been a single shred of evidence to date, why is this even still in court? How much money do you suppose this has cost IBM and tax payers so far?
Doesn't the court have some basic responsibility to IBM to end this case now that SCO has come up short?
I agree. I'd rather they be using Win 95, 98, and ME than XP OEM with all of its remote vulns leavin it to be taken over and used for DDoS's and spam.
... that usually has a pro AMD slant.

If they infringed on millions of your money wouldn't you want them extradited? I'd rather be raped.

And I am pretty sure professional athletes are not in it for the money either.

You bet. You missed DrPhil.com by several ASCII charictors.

The article is about a VoIP PBX!

Actually, they started back in 99.
Looking at the picture, I thnk they should have called it "Slug.jpg" instead.
The internet.

You mean Apple? In most of Microsoft's court cases it is usually them being attacked.
I love you Google.
