Sure it will run Word or excel just fine but note Mathematica or Photoshop
Did you even watch the keynote or are you just armchairing? Photoshop runs under emulation just fine. Mathematica is already ported. Some things probably won't run well but that is what updates are for.
Have you ever used OS X? Command-Tab changes applications not windows. That is a big difference. So even if you had your web pages spread out among different windows, OS X would still switch between apps and not the windows themselves. Once you selected the correct application you would still need another key combination to switch to the window you want.
Your analogy therefore only works in Windows and as others have told you many times already, don't like it, don't use it.
Try washing your hands before using the computer. I have one in my house with a teenager using it daily. It stays clean since he learned as a child to wash his hands if they are dirty.
From reading reviews (my copy is not in yet!), you can bookmark an RSS and Safari will auto-update the bookmark. That is probably what you are looking for.
Figures my mod points expired yesterday. I know the exact feeling. I have a nice stack growing in my garage that I simply refuse to throw out.
I have always stated that Apple products are great for the little things and attention to detail. The box designs is a perfect example of that attention to detail.
Take it from an old timer. That "paper" is useless after the first couple of years.

On any recent mac laptop, just install iScroll2. Right click is just putting two fingers on the pad and clicking the button, scrolling is just a matter of moving the two fingers around.
Really. It is part of the cocoa framework so every Cocoa based application has spell checking built right in.
While you are typing into, well, pretty much anything, if you misspell a word a squiggly red line appears under the work and you can control click it to select an alternate spelling.
1. There is more than one way to eject a disk on OS X. Dragging it to the trash is another way, Hitting the eject button in the finder is another.
2. In my opinion, Mac pro keyboards are simply nicer than the junk you get from other companies. I have a Dell on my desk at work and that keyboard feels like it came out of a cracker-jack box. I am certain if I hit a key too hard it would break easily. While the pro keyboard that came with my Mac feels a lot more solid.
3. There are some really nice after market Mac keyboards out there. Macally makes a really nice one. Although as stated before I use a Happy Hacker keyboard on my machine and it works perfectly.
Mac USB keyboards have a small USB hub built into them. Generally, you connect the Mac mouse to the back of the Mac keyboard and then connect the keyboard to your computer. This leaves you with two USB ports free.
Quite a few after market USB keyboards have the same setup. My Happy Hacker's keyboard has two USB ports on it which makes life nice and easy.
I would suggest trying to use command-option-escape when nothing else will work. It brings up the force quit dialog. In the few times I have needed it, it has always responded.
Not lonely at all when you consider that everyone is in the newbie areas right now. That has been the problem. The servers can handle the load, they just can't handle everyone being in the low level zones all at once. They have stated on their forums that once everyone starts to spread out into the higher zones that they will remove or reduce the queues and allow more people per server.
Still, even with everyone in the newbie zones, it is not as bad as say the bazar from EQ 1. The trick right now it seems is to go where everyone else isn't. Then there is no lag. However, if you want to play a Night Elf, I would wait a few weeks, those zones are rough at the moment.
Good advice, but difficult to do when MMORPGs still put a premium on your ability to grind xp/time.
Fortunately, Blizzard realized that people hate to just sit there and grind out experience. Having played during the open beta that was the one thing that leaped out. There is no grinding. I always had more quests on my todo list. Between trade skills and quests quite a few of the quests were turning green on me before I got to them. Turning green indicates that they are below your level.
There was no grinding for experience at all. There might be some at the higher levels but as far as I could see there was zero grind time. That single factor alone will cause me to buy this game at retail.
If I could pick and choose individual channels I would be happy to pay $5.00 a month for them without commercials. I watch about 4 or 5 channels out of the literally hundreds I get a month. Because those 5 channels are spread across multiple "packages" I end up paying a lot more than $5.00 per month to watch them and I have to endure commercials to boot. Granted having tivo makes it significantly less painful but that was not the point of the discussion.
I may be in the minority here but channels are like cds in my opinion. There are a few good ones and a ton of filler that you have to pay for to get the few good ones.
Go into your keychain and turn on the menubar addon. Then you can lock your screen with two clicks of your one-button mouse.
Simple.

I have last year's 1.8 17" iMac and WoW runs on it just fine. I would suspect that even a properly tuned Doom3 would run fine on this latest model.
BTW, WoW also runs fine on last year's powerbooks.

Wish I could post and mod, this is dead on. Hopefully someone else will mod this up.

Works great.
Previous versions did come with bash btw, it is a simple change in the NetInfo Manager to go from tsch to bash.
Not any more. It was changed in Panther I believe. The default is now bash
Older versions run on 10.2 perfectly and they are free.

Funny enough Safari comes with a built-in spell checker :)
My argument is the exact opposite of what you assumed. Please reread my post.
Get a clue. OS X does not have any infections because it is a better written system. Windows has all of the infections because it is crap.
Just that simple.
Small keyboard with the control key in a more "proper" place and no caps lock. Great for a coder.
