No it can't. Simply replacing day with year, decade, eon, whatever, still implies the influence of a higher power in creating the universe. Evolutionary theory/science is still peeling back the layers without the easy out of "some higher power nudged it along here".
By removing the religious drive behind ID, you are still left with laziness.
ReplayTV already allows you to control your DVR unit from the internet and has for years. As a previous poster stated, its just as secure as your password and login info, not a security issue for the company. If you choose "1234" (Spaceballs, right?) as your password, then you deserve to have all of yourMaximum Extreme Elimination Challenge shows replaced with Will & Grace.
The point is that since you care not about content and prefered to argue mod points in the parent post you are looking for karma not intellectual discussion.
The relentless bashing of Microsoft in this manner is tiring. Have they made flawed products? Absolutely, but to generalize their contribution to modern computing as nothing more than theft and good marketing is pure garbage. However such posts are good at karma whoring...
I find that rumor hard to believe. What its saying is that we would rather miss the best selling season of the year (December Holidays), miss the concurrent launch with the platform in order to maybe increase earnings in the next fiscal year? Seems a bit farfetched. Earning a dollar now is better than later especially since you may sell less since you missed the holidays and the launch excitement.
You've grossly mischaracterized the supreme court's ruling (if one can call it that). The supreme court has only refused to suspend a lower court ruling. The court has not decided whether it will listen to arguments regarding the merits of the case decision.
Good news for RIM, certainly not. But I wouldn't write them off yet especially since there is the question of a settlement that was reached months ago that could be enforced as well.
Problem with that is that you need to raise not only your payload but the fuel. This is why they are trying to utilize solar panels and an external light source.
That's why its a challenge. If the parameters are too easy you don't get great innovation.
If I could change anything I would have allowed the competitors to design, build and provide their own energy source instead of using the NASA provided light. That would have allowed another track of innovation.
I feel sorry for you that any comment in any way complimentary of MS Office is assumed to be a "shill". I have had the same experience as the parent with OO. For simple word processing and spreadsheets (e.g. your household budget) it makes no sense to buy the MS office suite. For a business user that has complex spreadsheets and word documents that are complex with graphics, MS still is the standard. I'd even pick Corel's Office suite before the Open Office one.
To expand on the parent's thoughts which I wholeheartedly agree with.
These MMORPGs are simply a grind based on an algorithm. Nothing more. Its because (and this is quite obvious) gaming hasn't progressed to the open universe that P&P RPG's can attain. Each successive "upgrade" in MMORPG's whether it is WoW or the next big jump are simply the result of two things: flashier graphics and a different advancement algorithm.
When a truely interactive physical world in which every action has a reaction and players have more options than (1) run away, (2) attack with melee weapon (3) attack with ranged weapon or (4) attack with spell. I will wholeheartedly jump in. Until then, its really same game different grind.
My guess is 75% of the responses will not be based on RTFA but blind support for Linux.
Remember, on/. you are entitled to your opinion unless it in any way disparages Linux.
As a previous poster claimed it happens all the time.
A google search of "electrical cord recall" nets 67,000 hits. On the first page you have Black & Decker, HP, and a petition for Apple to recall its power cord.
So all the MS haters blast away at their "incompetance" and attribute it to a massive anti-consumer rights conspiracy. Whatever. Just get a new cord and be quiet.
The enryption techniques described in this manual are outdated. It doesn't touch the types of encryption that most of our "secrets" are protected by. Most of what is described is encryption/decryption that can be done by hand.
I tried to resist but couldn't. What are government bonds? They've been around a while haven't they? They have existed for a while b/c the US government (and gasp those of many other governments worldwide) borrow money. A balanced budget in a true sense is rarely acheived. So with that said, other than an anti-bush rant, what facts do you offer?
Oh, how humanitarian of you. Its quite easy for you to sit back and proclaim how the lives of innocents are being overshadowed by those nasty greedy american corporations. Its not your property!!!!
Without a profit incentive, no drugs for anyone rich or poor PERIOD
A great example of government price fixing adversely impacting public health is the US fixing the price of flu shots. After the price fix, manufacturers left the market (because the price was set too low compared to current cost structures, for new companies to enter the market or to incent risk taking to develop new technologies), leaving just a handful of makers of the vacine. Fast forward to this year and one of those makers (in the UK) has a Quality issue. Ooops, no one else to make it. But that is something you don't consider. Its too easy to be the humanitarian with money that isn't yours.
You are still advocating theft or infringement. Being a capitalist (yes how evil) I understand how important property rights are. While I personnally disagree with the length of protection under US law, I agree with it. But honestly most of what is on BitTorrent is recent. I also support the pharma industry in their fight against rip-offs in the 3rd world.
Even distribution is a big assumption. You assume that each molecule has an equal chance of being anywhere else in the world given enough time. That is not so. Given infinite time, yes, but we only have a couple thousand years give or take a couple hundred depending on which Caeser you refer to with certain distance, weather, and local problems. Again, I do not argue with the possibility, I argue with the 100% part which would only occur with the lifting of certain restrictions to the dispersion of the water molecules AND infinte time (in the absense of a water molecule dispersion model).
WhatifSports is also doing this. They are a website that simulates games in the major sports using historical real stats of players. (disclosure: I am not an owner of the site, just a frequent customer). They set up the season and are playing the games on the days they would have occurred. Seeing both, the Whatif model will be much truer to the real thing IMO.
No offense, but I doubt you have any stats to back that up. I agree with the concept though, that water since the beginning of time has intermixed throughout the globe from a variety of sources. The 100% bit is taking it too far.

It means we don't need to fear the monsterous offspring of a Google/Microsoft copulation.
The point is that since you care not about content and prefered to argue mod points in the parent post you are looking for karma not intellectual discussion.
Since you are pointing out the modifications to the posts and comparing the "alleged" disparity in comment, you sir, ARE karma whoring.

1- Prob to reduce theft
2- Good Q
3- Looks like directions/guide for the controllers
4- Call them up
5- I bet an honor system

Too bad you don't know what you are talking about. PwC wasn't involved with Enron.
Problem with that is that you need to raise not only your payload but the fuel. This is why they are trying to utilize solar panels and an external light source.
Why too fast?

I am still waiting for a pc version of squad leader. Fantastic deep game. It could be awesome MP.

Because its part of their job, that's why.
