I also thought in the early 90's the internet could bring enlightenment as everyone in the world would have access human knowledge. Unfortunately in reality people have just sought out like minded individuals.
While Elon's pricing is probably not that realistic but you are still comparing the costs of building the rocket from scratch to reusing a plane. He currently isn't really giving much at all of a discount for using a refurbished 1st stage rocket. The cost of the fuel for a Falcon 9 launch is only $200,000. The cost for a launch is going to come way down if it can be designed to fly 100s or 1000s of launches with minimal maintenance and full recovery of both stages.
KSP is already getting a ton of negative reviews on steam because of this. Lots of players are backing up the game files so they can keep running the current version in case a new version blocks mods.
Google for Nexus and Pixel devices does 2 years of OS updates and 3 years of security updates. As they release OS updates annually you will have the latest version of android for 3 years if you buy at launch. Since the Pixel costs about 2x the price of older Nexus devices I think they should support it a bit longer. You can however continue to get OS updates from 3rd parties.
Yeah exactly. A juicer gives you basically the water and sugars from the fruit with all the healthy stuff removed. A blended juice/smoothie gives you the whole fruit.
A whole generation of LG phones have been plagued by this bootloop issue. It is from faulty soldering, possibly on the ram module. I have a Nexus 5X from LG and many other owners have had their phones bootloop. They extended the warranty to 15 months.
Yeah exactly. There is a big event at most sport arenas multiple times a week. It should be much cheaper to just install more fixed towers in the area.
The heat from wireless charging also can deteriorate the battery quite a bit unless the battery isn't near the charging point. Heat in general really decreases battery life and heat while charging is much worse.
The math in that article is screwy too. The article says he usually has one staff at the store, 10 hours a day, 365 days a week. $15/h x 10h x 365 = $54,750 in total salary paid. Even if half the time he has two staff that is less than $80K. The article says the increase is costing him an extra $80K/year.
If they could deliver to the balcony of an apartment/condo it would make online shopping way better. Currently unless you are home and the driver is willing to buzz, take the elevator etc. you will not get any package and have to go to the pickup location. With drones you would get 100% deliveries on time.
It is exactly broken down in the link in the comment you replied to. Fees and rewards are ~35% or $700K. Fixed costs for production startup including build sets, costumes, etc. is $550K. This leaves $750K for 3 episodes. For the stretch goals they raise $1.1M per 3 episode target but after fees and rewards they have $750K/3 episodes as well.
You should look at how much memory chrome uses by visiting about:memory. I use both Firefox and Chrome and Firefox uses substantially less memory then Chrome to display the same web pages.
Android 5.0.2 seems to only be released to fix bugs on tablets. It doesn't seem to be released for any phones. Google did release 5.0.1 for Nexus 5 quickly but Google only updates devices slowly over a number of weeks. If you are unlucky you might get the update 2 or 3 weeks after others. Google should really allow people who want the update to install it without having to download the factory image and install manually.

The BFR is also using methane/O2 as fuel. I don't know the costs of liquid O2 but methane is way cheaper than airplane fuel.

Yeah I think this is correct. The biggest failure might be if the tube itself failed at the right timing with the train.
Also they only record 10 seconds of video.

There are lots of pluses with an older Xenon but it also only accepts slower ram and is 32nm instead of 14nm so will use more power.

Although it is possible to use copper, aluminium is used for transmission due to weight and price. Typically with a steel core for strength.

WhatsApp is pretty popular in BC, Canada. It is odd to release a Windows application that is Windows 8 or higher though since most use Windows 7.
It actually replaced the reply and archive button so people who usually press reply and archive inserted the mic drop gif instead.

I've thought a feature where you could add an edit to the bottom of a comment, without being able to edit the actual comment, would be pretty useful.

This is also news to me. I had a work term in university writing test scenarios to verify features of their military air traffic control software.
I was going to post this. The Nexus 8 might be reasonably priced as well.

5.0 I still lollipop. No North American/European phone has 5.1 yet including Google's Nexus phones.
