I've yet to see an ad, so I wouldn't know about that...
But frankly, stuff that people shouldn't know I won't leave on ANY server that I don't have full control over. So Google is in no way worse than any other free online service.
Switzerland is overrun with SUVs as well, as is Germany. The trend may have been started in the US but Europe was quick to pick it up and give it momentum.
Which country would that be? Germany with BMW, Mercedes and Audi? Or rather a scandinacian one? Volvo comes to mind. And what about all the Japanese SUVs?
Meanwhile, my 99 Century Buick V6 needs less gas than a Mitsubishi Galant V6 from approximately the same year.
After years of streamlined production and cheapened components while the sophistication has steadily risen, people still wonder about fundamental design issues?
Of course an XBox 360 is less stable than, say, a SNES. Of course a 1960 Chevy truck was more sturdy than a 2009 model. It's in the nature of things to become more fragile the more versatile they get.
Even though I do not agree with a death sentence, I agree with the acting decisively part. Our countries are there for the people. The people IS the country, so to speak.
And since this directly went behind the backs of the people, treason is the proper definition here. Imagine what shenanigans will happen, if this kind of behaviour is not come down upon hard.
Insurance on your car or on the destruction you might cause to others?
In Switzerland, the latter is mandatory, the former not and I think that system is very good. After all, if you hit someone and total their car and send them to hospital, they won't have the luxury to wait for you saving up the money to pay for it all...
But frankly, the Japanese show us how fast and cheap it can be. And what do we have? 25MBit downlink is considered the best you can get without selling your first-born here in Switzerland.
It's nice that humankind as such is able to transmit data like that, but unless the populace gets to enjoy that technology at a reasonable price, I don't quite see a point in getting excited.
And before someone mods me Troll, I'd like to state that I have tried getting used to several versions of Ubuntu and Mandriva. While Mandrive by far had the better experience for me, I still wasted hours and hours to get stuff to work that just works out of the box on XP.
So while I appreciate Linux as a server OS and while I see many happy people running linux, it just isn't the OS for me.
Therefore, compared to all the trouble I usually have with linux, this 'awful lot of work' seems rather enjoyable in comparison. And no, MacOS is not an alternative, since I really can't afford the hardware (and, again, don't want to hack the thing onto my own machine...).
The kid is terminally ill and still has to go to school? Was he Hitler in a previous life or why else would anyone be so heartless as to make him attend such a behaviour correction centre when he clearly does not have a future for which he has to prepare?
Wouldn't it have made more sense to cut out a portion of the lid and make the whole screen usable? I'm thinking presentations in environments that have no beamer handy. Say a meeting consisting of four people or so...
Okay, someone help me out here... what's so bad about Nickelback? I like a few songs from them... not that many, I'll readily confess, but if you had seen the German version of American Idol you'd know teh evil that is mainstream music.
The summary contradicts itself: Either it is balanced or your skill decides whether you are successful. If someone just is better at the game through sheer talent, how could this ever be balanced. And should it be?
Now balancing the avatars is another matter. If there is a glitch or a combo move that just pwns everyone, then that is a game imbalance. So you can own my ass using three moves from Guile? Well, nice for you, but I can play all the other characters and have fun. You will always win, but don't expect me to play you very often if that's all I'm going to see from you. Basically, if it doesn't happen to be WoW then such people will very soon be playing alone, thus balancing the game again;).
You wait until your wife sleeps? Wow, I call that a healthy and open relationship.
Also, that running for office part... Do you honestly want to be in office in a country where your sexual preferences (as long as they are legal) can cost you the job?
The Clinton incident was a farce. If the American populace had one ounce of common sense, they'd have shoved the media hype down the boulevard press' throat.
Wouldn't be the first or the last time someone questions it;). And I do mean Voyager. Of course it would be pretty hard to explain, seeing as they've returned by now. Then again, some of the books deal with what happens after they return so...
Unfortunately, they have no sense for business, those Trek producers. If they had, they'd just make a movie where Janeway, 7 of 9 and B'Elanna ended up in a threesome. I think the cinemas would break sales records in no time...
Which makes absolutely no sense for heavy BT users.

Does your existence have a point? ;)
You are quite pathetic, aren't you?

Meanwhile, my 99 Century Buick V6 needs less gas than a Mitsubishi Galant V6 from approximately the same year.
So what the hell is your point?

Please wake me, when they start building family cars at affordable prices...

People keep complaining about the US...

Thanks, I'd like an OS that does what I want.

I hope you realize that right about now, I really want to be your friend so badly... ;)

For your viewing... ah... pleasure?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nt2JhuXMRMk this is what Deutschland sucht den Superstar has brought forth.

I liked most of them except for Nemesis.
My point exactly.
That is clearly a matter of opinion, don't you think? I, for one, prefer it to TOS. Then again, I even prefer Enterprise to TOS ;)
Rather than another series that will result in overpriced DVDs, I'd have loved to get a DS9 or Voyager Movie or two...
