    Theaters are one thing, but last week at my cousin's funeral there were no less than THREE cell phones going off at full volume while the pastor was trying to speak. This seriously pissed me off, especially since two of these clueless dickwads actually took the call during the ceremony.

    If people can't learn basic manners then I am all for blocking or jamming or taking their fucking phone and smashing it with a big rock. Whatever works.

    I'm not asking for "miss manners" type behavior, just a tiny bit of common sense and respect would do just fine. Then people wouldn't have to resort to illegal jamming...

    But that is the world we live in..

    My point is that the concepts do exist at such a level that ANYONE could come up with it as soon as the need is there. The rock was sitting there the whole time, but it wasn't a tool until someone needed to hit something with it. The concept of telling somone how to pay for your service when they walk in your store is not new.

    I am so sick of this crap. Why is it that when an obvious solution to an obvious problem presents itself, some ass munch somewhere thinks they own it? WTF is wrong with the world? If you need to hit something hard and you see a rock, does that mean that from then on you own all hammers, clubs and any other heavy blunt objects that might be used to hit something with?

    I am grinding my teeth right now.

    between SF and Fantasy. "The Hulk" is Fantasy and should be taken in the same grain as cartoons or movies with magic, dragons etc. Real SF doesn't usually make it into move/television form (or if it does it ends up being corrupted). The best SF is still in books not in your movie theatre.

    is all SCO cares about. If everyone on slashdot were to short as much SCO stock as they can afford, the price would go down. After they lose, it'll go down even more. Just a thought... Not sure if this would be legal or not so Im not actually suggesting anybody DO THIS. I also lost 10 grand in one day shorting stock, so Im not the best person to take investing tips from..

I think what the previous poster was saying is that the worm is the code equivalent of a sledge hammer- not very elegant but gets the job done. Just like 90% of the crap I whip out when my boss wants it "yesterday".

    If everyone who claims to have a strong opinion on this matter would chip in $50 and some coding time we could set up an online music label that could make deals with musicians to sell rights to their music. The musicians could get $.25 for every song purchase ( a hell of a lot more than they get now) and the rest could go to maintaining and promoting the label. This wouldn't be that hard. 1000 talented programmers/webdesigners/database guys/sysadmins with $50 each could pull this off. If only we could find the person who could organize the whole shebang...     I agree. I would add that Intentia International should have the burden of proving that there wasnt a link anywhere on the internet to the report. This is just silly.. If you put things on a public webserver, its public.
