t one of those isolation boxes used for sandblasting of small objects. That should keep stuff out of the air and some of them can be vented either to a filter or the outside.
Chances are that, on February 18th; people will be able to see the PSA announching that analogue signals will go away on February 17th. this will be digitally broadcast.
This is identical to the ab hominem argument put forward in the 1960s to the argument against the possibility of interstellar war.
I suspect that the only true limiting factor on Humankind are the limits we put on our dreams. Yeah, heavier-than-air powered flight is imposible (if you are a 19th century aerodynamicist). Phasers, teleportation, FTL, invisability cloaks and holodecks are impossible with todays technology. But; there sure are a lot of smart folks thinking about em. We are getting closer.
I used to use IBM Thinkpads. In fact; I went through four of em in as many years. Hinges broke. Power connectors broke, plastic case parts broke. And don't ask about the number of times I almost dropped one.
After buying a Toughbook 3-1/2 years ago; I have not had one single problem. The laptop industry's dirty big secret is not that laptopls need to be ruggedized for real-world use but that most laptops are flimsy and are designed so that they are prone to break under normal use. Most have a very slippery, low-profile shape; but no handle. This often leads to the unit being dropped or being set down hard.
Most users do not need ruggedized laptops. We do need laptops built well enough to be used by real people in the real world.
I went through 3 Thinkpads in as many years. All of em had durability problems and; every stinkin' one of them had internal power connectors that broke. According to IBM Customer service (at the time); this is a very well known problem with Thinkpads.
I did some research and eventually bought a Toughbook. The keyboard is great and have had exactly "0" problems in the 3-1/2 years I have owned it.
It seems to me that many laptop manufacturers are comfortable with laptops that are fragie, expensive and even lack so simple a device as a handle on their sleek and slippery machines.
Isn't the summit of K2 about 50km high? Wouldn't it be a lot easier to build a ramp up the side of a pre-existing geological feature? IIRC, atmospheric effects can still be severe at that altitude.
Yeah, that one sucketh beyond the abilities of a mere mortal comprehend. (Not to mention production values or lame plots); the protagonists all fell into the hip-young-hunky X-file or CSI casting model.
The Show would have been IMHO far better off to have resurrected Darren McGavin for the role. I mean, really. What has Kolchak been up to all these years?
The good news is - they have found a cure for death.

My take on this is that OS packagers try to make configuration too plug and play.Maybe a better way to encourage good security practices would be to make it a real pain to configure the installation to the point of useability. If (for example) the owner had to set permissions before he could use anything; then the user would have to think about security. For most users detailed (and lengthy) instuctions would be needed.
I thought that the recent season of The Young Ones was predtty good. Considering.
The Constitution ofthe United States
The Federalist Papers
Because, you should know where you stand.

You know you can edit your preferences to not show idle "news" items.
It's the America's Top Idle, of course!

My favorite is those little-white powdered-sugared doughnuts. MMMMMM!

I think it was. Unless they reform the band.
Dude, as much as I like HP stuff; they son't make Toughbooks. Panasonic does.
Well, the French do have Le Byte Sinister.

It's one of the unhealthy things that happen when your tank is penetrated by a depleated-uranium round.

The good news is - they have found a cure for death.
The bad news is - only Bill Gates can afford it.
A setting eerily like Microsoft Headquarters!
I'm guessing that the song was "Puberty Love". Also effective against tomatoe attacks.
Yeah, Victor Hugo.
Chav. Definatly, chav.
I set my phaser on yobbo.
Yor local gunshop should have a variety of noise-abatement devices at reasonable prices.

Yeap. Outside of downloading the drivers for the display and the internal modem; it's 100% compatible with Red Hat 6.1. on mine too.
