Actually, all the URLs are wrong because there should be an underscore after the 'the', but slashdot strips out all the underscores. The story would be that much better if the original articles were taken down though.
The URLs you posted, as well as others in this discussion AND in the summary are all dead. If you go to the guy's main blog page http://thescrivener.blogspot.com/ the article doesn't even show up in his archive. I believe it is safe to say the post has been pulled.
I have an elliptical machine in my house and a bicycle which I barely ride, but I find I don't ever have enough time. I -want- to lose the weight, but life tends to get in the way. ... The Wii is fun, and a little exercise, but not nearly enough to do the job.
Umm, if you are so busy that you don't have the time to take positive steps to improve your health, how do you have time to play games? It seems much more likely that it is your priorities need to be adjusted, rather than a legitimate lack of time. Also, I have found that a slight calorie cut, as well as adding exercise to your daily routine actually increases your energy level. I suspect it is due to the fact that you overall start feeling better about yourself, as well as an increase in your metabolism.
The problem is that the settlement will be paid by the town's taxpayers (IE, the kid's friends parents and neighbors), and the person responsible will get off with, at worst, the loss of her job.
And maybe that will cause the taxpayers to actually be involved in their local governments and schools to prevent the hiring of an inept crazy person in the future.
No, to access the other channels (DVD Game/Weather/Browser/Wii Store,) you need to fully exit what you are in. I have not read whether that is a hardware, or software limitation. It would have been handy to be able to pop open a browser in the middle of a game to read a walkthrough on gamefaqs though.
I'd say because when engaging in these activities, you don't need to lift your thumb off of the bat/racquet/club/stick at the precise moment that it is traveling the fastest, or at any point for that matter! Neither me, or anyone else playing with my Wii have dropped the Wiimote while playing, but I would have to say in the heat of the moment, pulling your finger off of that button in the middle of a fast swing you do sometimes get the urge to pull multiple fingers off of the button, resulting in an almost dropped Wiimote. I also find more I am 'In the Zone' I am more likely to be swinging/swatting/whipping fast, while at the same time devoting less attention to overcome the urge to release more fingers.

Yeah, I appreciated the confusion the acronym might cause, but I decided "Fuckit, I'm lazy."

Owning both Super Monkey Ball and Rayman, I'll say that Super Monkey Ball's handling of the Wiimote is slightly squirrely, as compared to Wii Sports & Rayman. Rayman has 70 mini games, as opposed to SMB's 50. The only downside is that you need to unlock the levels in single player mode with Rayman (which was kind of a let-down for me, because I had bought it on the way to a friends house to drink & play,) but the game is so addictive that I had 'beaten' single player in 3 days. If you have the money, get both, if not, get Rayman.
Yeah, like elections.

Hrm... I hope you meant RAID-1 for that data you don't want to lose.
Yeah, I used to do it that way till I found out you could with an eselect. I'm a fan of saving keystrokes.

The HOWTO is a bit dated, but it is probably relevant enough to get you on the right track.
I've tried both, Tesseract gave way better results than gocr, for sure.
GOCR http://jocr.sourceforge.net/
Tesseract-OCR http://sourceforge.net/projects/tesseract-ocr
Yes, but is it pretty scary?

SOL, or you just use another computer to re-image it?
Hahahah WOOT!

Ahh. Yea, the OP is an ass.
How does asking for something in writing equate to starting a job with a lawsuit?
Yeah true. It's much better to start out with you getting screwed before you even walk through the door!

Understanding (or not) the behind the scenes nomenclature of a development environment has no bearing on your ability to use the final product.

Hrm... how about:
Impeachment: It's not just for blowjobs.
