    The whole point of a blog is to discuss issues and offer contrasting views. The only thing congress can do is break the balance that already exists. When lawmakers start to call for balance where balance already exists you have to ask yourself, "Am I getting value for the dollars I'm paying these people?"

    I've had Netgear, Linksys and Dlink and they all needed frequent reboots and they all died after about a year. My Belkin wifi/switch almost never needs rebooting and it's been running constantly for 4 years. It was also the cheapest of the lot.

    They both use DRM which means when it breaks, you lose your investment in those books. The only reader you should buy is one that uses only standard files like pdf to store it's content so you can read it again in a few years with a new reader.

    I'm not investing in another platform designed to remove my fair use rights. If the entertainment industry doesn't want to distribute their products in easy to use file formats without DRM, I'm not interested in their products. How many bad movies have I paid to see over the years and felt cheated at not being able to get my money back. There are better ways to entertain myself than watching my rights drain away. Sony is obviously doing Betamax II just so the next generation can enjoy a Sony bomb too.

    The laptop was designed to be unusable, that's why it had Vista installed. If you can't use it, it won't break. By installing an operating system that could make use of the hardware, you subjected the laptop to use it was not designed to take and voided the warranty. If you read the EULA closely you'll see that any computer with Vista installed is not actually intended to be used.
