what if you could make a video recording device that acted like snapshot camera, where the the lens captures images in a fast circumference sweep. I saw JPL in pasadena had those ultra-fast video recording devices about 15-20 years ago where they could film a balloon popping and it recorded at like 200 frames per second. Sure we have the technology available at a more reasonable price now. What if you combined a fast frame recording technology, either recording in a horizontal scan or a circular sweep like the hands on a clock, at 200 fps. (or 360 fps?) I wonder what kind of resolution you could get from something like that?
I think if you've got a problem of getting caught driving fast, then you need to be observed to make sure you understand that speed limits are there for a reason. Surely there are a lot of anarchists-at-heart types reading this saying "no way! eff that!" but seriously, 3 speeding tickets, and you need something to help you understand the law better. We all have to play along nicely on the road. Just because you woke up late doesn't mean you can put my life in jeopardy.

the mac version is 12megs... and if you all que up in line, you might get 12k download from my house...
basically, it's a 3d storytelling environment with prebuilt characters with canned emotions. You type in the script, and record your voices, the program does the lip-syncing based on a phoneme to viseme conversion method... you give the puppets some stage direction and set your camera cuts...
pretty sophisticated considering it was all my brother writing code....
My brother and I wrote a program in 1997 called QTTurntable, and it's based on quicktime. It basically acts like a turntable without the hardware... the interface is screaming for something better, and and also screaming for hardware support. I've opened up QTTurntable as Open Source Software, and it's available for viewing on SourceForge and we're actively seeking help in a windows and linux (?) port if possible. Basically, it's great for producers who don't have the money to press their records to vinyl to check their songs in the mix, or for beginning DJ's to use for a second turntable.
Please check out the sourceforge page, and if you're interested in participating, you can email me at steve at earthorbitdesign dot com.
I think they're going to sink themselves because they're trying to do two things with this bill at the same time. If they'd focus on one issue at a time, they'd be able to get what they want eventually. You're never gonna get every porn site to move to a.prn domain without a fight. If they wanted to outlaw surveilance, they should have run it without this rediculous second part.
there is such a thing as a legitimate opt-in email list, because all the people on it had their info card swiped at the tradeshow... remember the last time you did that? You're opting IN. Why do you think people even set up shop at a trade show? to get your fricken email address!! That's completely legitimate, and often connects people to products like consenting adults...
Don't lie, this is gonna be you in 5-10 years going through this same shit, hassled at the gate. You'd be wearing your computer right now if you could.
Funny how that's all they talk about now, who their competitors are.

When you have an annoyance, you use the appropriate tools to deal with it. Bravo.

I thought the whole point of the crusoe was that it doesn't have to run windows? Something about being able to emulate processors?
