I read the 9/11 comission report and don't remember seeing anything about other teams.
Now I wish I knew where my copy was...I remember the minute by minute accounts of what took place in terms of the different responding agencies (NYPD, FDNY and Port Authority) being really interesting reading.
This time, I'm down in Lawrence, Kansas doing ABSOLUTELY nothing (and getting paid) until they send me off to Calgary, Canada. Also, I get paid for my 'commute' time, so its all OK.
Negative again! Having the black box fail will not cause an aircraft to blow up, it will simply land and not be permitted to fly until it has a functional black box.
Unfortunately, in some arenas, replacing employees who aren't doing their jobs can be very difficult. So, even when they're blatantly ignoring or refusing their duties, they stay in place.
