  1. Knock him off on FTC Files Spyware Case Against Sanford Wallace · · Score: 1

Why hasn't someone Soprano'd this loser yet? You know these guys are never "reformed." I never bought it and this proves my skepticism. Spamford, I hope you die, you piece of waste.

  3. Re:What is the demand for this? on RadioShark Is Vaporware No More · · Score: 2, Interesting

Every Howard Stern fan with a computer will want this. Seriously. If Griffin is smart, they'll start taking out ads on his show. They'll sell millions of them.

Imus fans are too old and bitter to hook anything up to their computers.

  4. awesome on RadioShark Is Vaporware No More · · Score: 1

This could be very handy for recording Howard Stern every day. I guess the problem is, when the hell do you have time to listen to all your recordings when you are married and actually have a job. :)

  5. AOL and Indians on Tech Support Levels Dropping · · Score: 1

Try calling the nightmare support for AOL these days. It's over an IP connection to India. Besides the fact the connections suck, the accents are often difficult to understand, but you just acan't ear anything and you have to repeat yourself ten times to get anything accomplished. The worst part is, I'm a 32 y.o white guy. Imagine what my 60+ customers have to deal with when they try AOL support. It just doesn't work.
This is not to bash Indians in any way. But it's AOL's poor choice to use foreign tech support in this manner that's very inneffective, especialy when they're reading from those annoying scripts they're given.

  8. SHORT SHORT SHORT!!! on Google Goes Public at $85/share · · Score: 1

I'm sorry, but the hoopla surrounding the IPO of a freakin' search engine is sad. $85/share? Please. Yeah, it makes some money. But not enough to justify billions in paper worth. No matter what happens, people just can't seem to let go of the fact that the internet bubble burst and the glory days of $200/share for internet companies is GONE. This isn't 1998. People, it's GONE.
So, unfortunately, I have no money to play with. If I did, I'd short 10,000 Google shares and laugh all the way to the bank. Because the only direction that stock is headed is down.

  9. Re:Eyes Wide Shut on What's the Worst Movie You've Ever Seen? · · Score: 1

It had enough good nudity to score well in my book. Although, Cruise is a total dork in this movie. The naked chick with the mask that ends up getting killed is hot. Scorfed major boner points with me. :-)

  11. Freddie Got Fingered and Adam Sandler's Xmas movie on What's the Worst Movie You've Ever Seen? · · Score: 1

I used to be a fan of that Tom guy, from his days on that MTV show he used to have, This movie, by far, sucked so bad that I stopped half way through and returned it to Blockbuster. It was so not funny and the humor was so (badly) forced that I almost demanded my money back.

Also, we went to see that god-awful Adam Sandler Xmas movie where he was some mean bitch because his parents died on Hanukah one night. We walked out half way through. It was just BAD. Nothing funny, and it was just a mean-spirited movie. I can handle that when it's done in a talented way, but this just sucked ass. Again, I wanted my $$ back.

  14. I love my Mac! on Corporate Servers Spreading IE Virus [Updated] · · Score: 1

I'm really enjoying this thread, to be honest. I'm befuddled what all the hype is about because I simply don't have to worry about it on any of my computers. I just get to sit here and chuckle that these dark-clothed Russian hakerz can't crack me Mac!
Seriously, though, I'm wondering what it's going to take before Microsft is REALLY able to fix their security problems. Maybe when Bill Gates' bank accounts are gutted or we experience some sot of 'net attack we haven't imagined yet brings part of the country to its knees because everyone uses M$ software but can't buy a clue about security. I read about this shit every day and honestly believe nothing is going to be done about it because a) Microsoft really can't fix their security holes and b) 99.9% of users simply cannot comprehend dealing with this problem. You can't put this into the users' hands because they just DO NOT understand what's going on! Hell, my parents have a hard time figuring out Ebay and turning on a computer. How the heck are they supposed to disable scripts, plug-ins, install host files and/or proxies, run Windows Update every freakin' day AND run two different spyware/malware programs to keep these scumbags on the net from sending out spam and logging keystrokes?
I'm sorry, but this problem is going to get exponentially worse over the next few years. I see NO solution to what's going on unless there is some sort of bizarre migration to Macs or Linux boxes which seem to be immune to everything I read about.

  15. You guys are missing the point on Spammer Apologizes · · Score: 1

He's just SAYING he's going to teach kids about pedophiles on the 'net. But didn't you read where his shark (aka lawyer) said he's a drummer joining a band? He's drumming up publicity for his new Bryan Adams/RUSH Tribute Band called "Cuts Like a Knife Through Tom Sawyer".

  21. Is a patch possible? on Infected Windows PCs Now Source Of 80% Of Spam · · Score: 1

Since there are a few freeware spyware progs running around (that work very well) wouldn't it be possible for the droids at M$ to concoct some sort of Windows Update that would kill spyware and thus eliminate many sources of spam?

I just downloaded some spyware apps on my in-laws PC after they complained about it running VERY slow (and it was). I found well over 130 various spyware goodies running on that thing. Disgusting. It should be punishable by death to create these apps. And considering the in-laws get confused by email, I can't possibly EVER expect them to protect their PC. It shouldn't be this difficult.

Really. Until now, the offerings on remote stereo hookups were fe and far between. I just set one of my clients up with one. It was cheap. It worked. But it sure can't act as a bridge. This is going to save a lot of people a lot of money. Previously, you had to buy another Airport Extreme for $100+ to create a bridge. Now, only $30 and you get the benefit sharing your printer and iTunes wherever the hell you want. Brillant! (To borrow the word fromthe new Guiness commercials)

Well, keep in mind that Apple, to date, has sacrificed performance over graphics and "functionality." It should be a hell of a lot faster, but Jobs wants everyone to lick those pretty candy buttons on their screens. OSX is still slower, especially on the net, than a new Windoze PC. That's inexcusable, and any and all gripes about its performance are warranted. Hopefully, they'll put more effort into that in the coming year.

Spammers, on the other hand, I rank up there with rapists and child molesters. Kill them all.
