Jumpman was a wonderful game!! Game designers today should look at older games and realize that while graphics are nice, if the gameplay isnt there, then the game sucks... and yes, I know this is offtopic, but whatever, Jumpman was the proverbial "shit".
I still remember when I finally beat that game, i was sooooo happy!!! (and like, 4!!):)
Ya know, you're right... its amazing how much Plank and Little Wooden Boy look alike though, except Plank had no arms and legs... god that was a funny episode, though... I guess I liked the tick and had wishful thoughts about his return to TV!!
The other night I saw a music video after one of the shows on Toonami for none other than Plank, from the Tick. A few commercials later, the "host" (the guy on the spaceship, Tom isnt it?) thanked the viewers for remaining loyal and promised that there were lots of new shows coming... perhaps the Tick is next?
That was an awesome show, thanks mostly to the Tick having a brain the size of a peanut... =)
I mean, come on, its Star Trek. Its SUPPOSED to be above the average idiot reviewers head. If it got a GOOD review I'd be surprised! But isnt that what we love about it?? I mean, have you all ever watched some of the episodes (early TNG, like, pre Yar dieing), they are horrible (the acting, special effects) when compared to the later episodes, but by god every time TNN does a marathon I'm right there watching them because for all the campiness and whatnot, the show is DAMN GOOD and the pinnacle of GEEKINESS. I've spent more than one rainy day watching my columbia house ST:TNG VHS collection.
I love Star Trek. I love the Next Gen cast. I wouldnt replace any of them.
But I dont expect it to have a story line to rival LOTR or something, nor do I expect the actors to be given praise for their performances. Its a campy sci-fi flick, with over used plot devices and over used character templates.
And I wouldnt have it any other way.

Well, now that we've reduced ourselves to the point where the 13 year olds playing on CS servers would feel at home, lets go over the facts:
1) Apple is hosting the sight, and they did the preview in quicktime. Quicktime is free. The sight is free. You can use it, or not use it. No where does it say that they have to put it up in a non proprietary format. They ARE promoting the use of their software, after all. If you don't like the format, then dont use it.
2) the -1 flamebait hit you as well as me, and I have karma to burn.
3) You are an idiot. A simple minded, living in a cave, racist, mother needs to die in a car accident but not until after 14 hours of excruciating pain, man-humping, zealot. Take those two things on the insides of your hand, yes, the thing we civilized people call "thumbs" and shove them up your rear. I wash my hands of you.

no where did I say that proprietary codecs were good, I merely said that if a product is released in X format, and you dont have X format, than you are SOL. There are things like real player which will NOT touch my hard drive, and as such I cant hear things that use it, but I dont complain, I just dont use those sites. If you really wanted to see the trailer (or whatever) you'd get off your high horse and install QT (or whatever).
so go back to your little cubicle and pray to the linux gods or scrawling M$ sux over and over or whatever it is you do, and miss out on life because of some "ideals" that if its not on linux its bad, and let the rest of us use the bandwidth you arent worthy of to actually watch the trailer.

I mean, really, its APPLE QUICKTIME!! its not like its RealPlayer (which is demon spawn, if I might add), so its not Microsoft sleaze...
I dont use certain players, and realize that I cant view certain things. But its my CHOICE. These players are available to me, and I COULD use them, but I dont, so I dont complan.
I know, right? These artists put upwards of 24-48 hours into these songs making them the 1 hit wonders they are today!

while we're doing bad geek jokes...
A proton, an electron, and a neutron walk into a bar. They approach the bar tender and the proton orders a drink. The bartender asks him for a buck. The electron steps up and orders the same drink, again the bartender asks him for a buck. Finally, the neutron walks up, orders and the same drink, and the bartender merely hands it to him stating "For you, no charge"!
the poster is an idiot. if you summon that many tanks, and save it, your game crashes. My friend and I went through 3 memory cards, and 2 CD's trying to figure out what in gods name was making the game crash on load, and after extensive (like, 3-4 weekends of solid playing) we finally figured out that there is a chance that if you summon a bunch of tanks, and save it, it crashes. Not always, but about 50% of the time...
