The parent didn't say anything comparing backwards compatability of Windows to Microsoft. Leave it to slashdot users to blame or bash Microsoft at every opportunity.
Wow this really is interesting. Microsoft.com running Linux. Oh wait, could it be that at the time their system was linux it was coming from Akamai and not Microsoft. There are systems out there that are used to relay traffic between users and the server, and Akamai just happens to be one of them.

That would make the already overpriced CDs that much more expensive. Plus what else do you need on an album? A cd right now can already fit a substantial amount of music at high quality.

I would imagine that the building of the aircraft carrier would've started several years back before "this time of budget crunches and economic weaknes." It's not like they started it back in January because they needed it for the war.

I believe the issue is a loss of potential income due to the site's popularity. I remember reading somewhere that there were potentially millions of dollars of advertising on the site earned monthly.
Did the cost of the project include the cost of renting the janitor's closet it was shot in?
Rhapsody's tunes don't even use the Real codecs. They use Windows Media.

To make up for the fact that most are slower than 5400rpm, I believe they're 4200rpm.

According to the RIAA's indictments of file swappers, he would have to have 780 songs shared to reach a $117 million fine. cameron
Well looks like the morons have been slashdotted
Congrats!

If you actually look into this further, microsoft.com pointed to a linux machine that was actually an Akamai server. cameron

I can download free music, but not copyrighted music.
Certainly more so than Linux.
I think not.
Opinion discounted due to use of RealOne.

Disregarg that.
In other news, Slashdotters have not been hacked...
Do most Slashdotters need instructions on how to use IRC?
How would you have prepared for this?
I've never had an issue with printed documents looking different then designed. What have you noticed that is printer dependent?
And which skyscraper are you talking about?
