    Also, any business that pays for spammers could deny it.

    Since the guy would won the World Series of Poker, was strictly an internet player, wouldn't this be an advantage?

    None of the other players would have had time to study him and know his habits, yet he would have alot of experience playing poker.

    Then again I rarely play poker, so I could be missing something.

    Thoughts?

    How do you know for sure that the company hired the spammer?

    No, the GPL is about riding the world of proprietary software, pain and simple.
    Another goal along these lines is to rid the world of high paying programming jobs.

    But isn't that the goal of the GPL? Not just software, but all information wants to be free!

    This would include designs, building plans, books, etc.

    Remember RMS said it is morally wrong to make proprietary software. Logically this would also include designs, building plans, etc.

    Information wants to be FREE!!!!

    If those people actually ever read the GPL license and the politics behind it, they will come to believe that all open source feels this way.

    IMHO that wouldn't be a good thing.

    Going from windows to unix one of the things I liked most about unix was the wide spread usage of regex in various applications. Quite powerful.

    I think though not sure that Sears was one of the first companies to put price tags on wares and would never go down in price.

    There was no negotiating for pricing take it or leave it. This was quite new and revolutionary at the time.

    I wonder if Sears could have patented that idea back then if the patent office was as questionable then as it is today?

    Or maybe it was JCPenney...

    Let me ask you a question. If I go and kill 100 people in your name, are you instantly evil?

    Most Christians are against needless violence. No where in the new testament does it say, Kill your enemies, rather is says "Love your enemies" for even the pagans love their friends.

    It is just a game, but there is a line for most people. I'm sure most people would feel quesy about a game where you are a pedophile, with graphic images.

    Also, you will notice that computer games have followed the same path as movies. It used to be that just about every game that came out was quite clean and good. In the late 90's this started to change. Movies followed a similiar pattern it just took much longer.

    Christian games are reaction from some the games that have come out lately. Just as Christian music has become popular and more and more Christian movies have come out.

    You could set-up up a script to attempt this but the data would never be update-to-date. And you would always be modifiying your hosts file. So in short the answer is no.

    Maybe my brain works differently but I found tinydns to be easy to setup and simple to understand. It just made sense. BIND on the other hand...it just felt weird. YMMV

    You may have missed my point.

    While I am not a fan of the GPL I have no problem with governments using GPL'd software.

    I do have a problem with the government hiring folks to write software and then that software being GPL'd. It should be BSD'd or better yet public domain.

    In short tax dollars should not be used to _create_ GPL'd software, IMHO.

    Tax dollars paying for software should be released under a BSD or public domain type license.

    At least the businesses that lost the deal could use the software to improve theirs.

    Of course not, it also can't decide who to kick out when there is a fight.
    It also can't decide when to call the game because of weather.
    It also can't decide if the guy was safe stealing third.

    All it does is call balls and strikes.

    Why replace the humans?
    Because humans cost money,
    because humans go on strike,
    because humans get emotional,
    because humans let other outside influences affect their calling,
    bacause human make mistakes.

    There's a lot of problems.

    Not everybody who file's shares is stealing.

    For instance I have alot of my father's old LP's. I can't listen to them because I don;t have a record player and even if I did I wouldn;t want to damage the record.

    So I go to Kazaa and download mp3 of songs that are on my dad's records. IMHO I own the rights to these records, so I have no problem with this, the RIAA thinks otherwise.

    Being nice and white, it there any physical advantage for having light skin?

    It seems physically(not trying to get in a social debate) that dark skin would only be advantageous(you don't burn as bad), less skin cancer?

    Ideas either way.
