"Pie menus could be optimal if you want to spend months memorizing exact movements to get where you want, but a lot of people don't have the patience."
so youre saying its easier to memorize movements that arent even shown on the screen rather than ones that are displayed right in front of you??
Plus, this year, "The Ozborne's" is apparently being broadcast in Canada on CTV uncensored. That will be interesting!
its already been on, and its funnier, cause mtv censored more than just the swear words. like when ozzy was messing with the tv remote he asked his son where the blow job button was.
Or try the new Gentoo Linux and play some UT2003 while you're at it.
speaking of which, it says specifically that it supports the sblive, which i have. and i never got any sound. any gurus here have any ideas on how i can remedy that? and yes i ran the pci-setup program it asks you to. thanks.
wow. glad they cleared that up. links has only been around for what. 15 years now? and has only been the most popular golf game in all of those years too. why was this the only game in the list with the little helper material in the brackets? i dont even know what some of those games are. but pretty much anyone that has a computer should know what links is.
"Stability - I know a dozen easy ways to cause the Finder and even the entire kernel to hang on an iBook (Hang to where you have to hold the power button). Granted OS X isn't as flakey as Windows"
first you describe the kind of instability that i havent seen in windows since maybe 3.1, then throw in that its not as flakey as windows. care to describe flakey? you HAVE used windows since 3.1 right? win2k and xp are very stable operating systems.
"Last time I checked, that was a singleplayer game that they threw a few LAN maps into at the last minute.... the rest is history"
you dont know your history very well do you. qtest, which came out before the full game or a demo, was a multiplayer only game. it was VERY multiplayer oriented from the get-go.
"people don't need to replace those 2yr old P3's anymore cause everything works just fine on them."
this kind of post is so predictable in every story to do with new processors or new processor technology. and for some reason it always seems to get modded up to 5 - insightful. give me a break people, just cause this guy runs old software and does nothing useful with his computer doesnt mean the rest of us dont. like wtf, EVERYTHING works just fine on them? EVERYTHING? if he honestly think everything works fine on them he is living in another universe. everything doesnt even run fine on the newest processors available. sheesh
Score:4, Interesting? more like funny. how the hell can you match up what someone is seeing behind you? you would need the perfect distance and angle up and downwards for this to work. think about it. and if theres two people it would only work for one of them. youd need hundreds or maybe thousands of cameras all over the suit with a supercomputer built in to figure out the angles and distance the person is away from you. then you got the problem of your arms and legs etc not being a flat surface. all of that would need to be calculated to make the image proper to the viewer. AND THIS WOULD ONLY WORK FOR ONE PERSON LOOKING AT YOU. add a second person and the whole idea is dead. it just wouldnt work. not in the next 20 or so years anyways
"For photographic or shaded images of any kind, JPG is simply better at producing better image quality at smaller filesizes"
better image quality? you just finished saying png is lossless, and jpg is lossy. how can it be better image quality? its WORSE image quality. but at a much better file size.
"Why does the new car has to look like the old ones? This is a new step in automotive history, they have green light for the design.
Did Ford make his first car to look like a horse? Nope"
um. he made it look like the carriage behind the horse. you know. where the word car comes from? shortened from horseless carriage?
so it did in fact look like the old design. minus the horse of course.
so who has installed it on windows yet?

could you please tell me if they fixed the flickering window? in qt5 it was like the only program that flickered really really badly when any other windows were moved around. i guess cause it didnt use the normal windows widgets? and i think when moving the window around it also flickered. and no i dont have a slow system/videocard.

But I can't play paintball in canada.
ok you got me, why not? its very popular here
go to canada if you want freedom. go to the usa if you want less freedom but more money/less taxes.

.. and what if DOOM3/UT2003 is 75% of all software that you run?
it means youre pretty bad at math.
youre right, its not news. it would only be news if it was in internet explorer, correct?
ah. the magic of open source i keep hearing about. fast, instant fixes..
get a farking emulator and pitfall rom then idiot. shouldnt take long.
and if you call the *tarzan yodel* "music", youre simply retarded
you are obviously not talking about the original atari 2600 pitfall. cause it did not have music.
It'd be funnier if it was a beday...
is that anything like a bidet?
wow. glad they cleared that up.

dream on linux fanboy. north americans want quality. thats why they would rather pay money for windows than get linux for free.
..oh here we go, more linux fanboys modding me down for the truth now.
sorry but thems the facts.
"On the other hand, PNGs are lossless compression which provide roughly the same file size as lossy GIFs and JPGs."
roughly the same size? >10 times larger filesize for photographs is not what i would call roughly the same size.
xp is nt5.1
just fyi

ive read tons of the supposed bill gates "640k" quotes in this thread over and over.
people. he never said that.
go look it up, its an urban legend.
