Here's a link to part of an article on such a subject. I wasn't able to find more details on how the pricing details are handled. This article indicates that a Transit Authority in Texas has control over their prices, and also demonstrates the sense these people have.

Just one week after the NTTA raised the toll rates, it sent five representatives to the 75th Annual International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association conference in Vienna, Austria.

It is not always the government. Usually instead of worrying about paying for roads, they decide to build it and pay off the loan immediately by selling the rights to private investers (often from out of the country) who then install the tolls. So don't blame the government for the tolls, blame them for taking the easy way and selling off the road way rights.

It will probably be wise to wait the full three years to see how they do with some of the newer features like aluminum heads and so forth. I have reasonable faith though that they should get it right the first time.

The last remaining question would be what kind of transmission they put behind them. As long as dodge comes out with a manual it should be acceptable; although I do not see Ford or Chevy releasing one with a manual: the rest of their components are better. I have a 4x4 Ford w/ auto right now, I would really like a V6 turbo diesel w/ a manual I would imagine this would get anywhere from 22 to 30 mpg. ... Wow, that got off topic.

As long as it is not federal dollars I guess I don't care. Back to point: If these people are committing a disproportionate number of the crimes why should we care? It seems obvious that we shouldn't, and that this should be a moot point in the discussion of whether this billboard system is a legitimate need.

I can only hope they make rather drastic changes. The worst part is that in general the KDE team always puts out great sets of icons. Trully very nice looking stuff. It is the rest of the appearance, such as the starting(k) menu, large screen space use for apps at the bottom, large clock, ugly file browser and so forth that looks so wrong right now by default. I would assume you are being cynical - or just plain upset at the angle of the discussion that took place - because otherwise you are throwing out any of the reasoning or advancements made in freedom of speech and thought, especially with regard to religion. The only reason "we" have come to the place we are, is through periods in history where discussion and thought is allowed to take place. The writings of Locke, Franklin and others noticed this and thus proposed the freedoms so many enjoy. Did you know that under sharia you would be killed for denying this attribution of Creation to God. How can you say that what he did actually didn't happen. How can you as a simple man be more correct than the Holy men who understand God better than you? This type of thing must be protected by personal freedoms. Though in a state under Islam is so obviously not necessary - as the individual is absolutely expendable for the good of the group.

Also, so many here are saying that religions are stagnant and never change their viewpoints or stances. This is very far from the truth. Under the many religions that incorporate free will, and a personal faith, the views most definitely will change especially as text is studied and interpreted. I will forgive it because generally people here study science and not religion.

This is part of the problem in my opinion. Typically a user will try to maintain control on an article (or even a category of articles), this will on its own prohibit more changes or even a total re-write. So he might think the article has reached maturity, but others may disagree.

I have mainly seen this on controversial topics, such as dealing with russia and other eastern european history, or say European and Islam conflicts. I have even read in various article discussion pages that it would get to the point someone just flat out gave up, and would edit articles in their language's wiki fork only.

Want a machine that performs like a modern V8 car? Get 4 (or 8) GB.

Not all that bad of an analogy. Having recently gone from a pushrod V6 to a V8 vehicle (pickup) it is noticeable. Pushrod V6 vehicles can be pretty good though, how many other V6 vehicles get ~30mpg highway steady? (GM 3800 in particular.)

But I don't see yet how anyone as a desktop user needs more than 2GB of RAM. Maybe right about now is the time as we have been seeing some pretty massive and awesome games coming out. Even the recent World in Conflict requires 1GB for Vista, which as a minimum would indicate that perhaps over 2GB is ok now. However there is usually a gap for a while until desktops catch up with gaming rigs. Maybe someone who does video encoding or something could chime in with how powerful a dual core is with over 2GB RAM.
