    What subsidies? You claim they exist, but you don't name a single one.

    Gas is more expensive in other countries (especially Europe) because it's massively taxed.

    Most European countries have high fuel taxes. The prices have traditionally been three to four times the price in the United States, with prices during 2000-2005 of 1,50/litre (about US$2.14/l or $8.10/gal) while the US had prices around $1.50/gal or $0.40/l.

    Actually, that's a good idea.

    You'd save a lot of fuel that's used during takeoff.

    I think that commercial airports should get this technology also.

    Last time I checked being a police officer gives you no powers or abilities that the normal citizen has.

    They are not "Enhanced citizens". They're citizens who do policing full time.

    Playing it by yourself, yeah, it was pretty boring.

    Starting up a server and playing with your friends is a ton of fun though, unless they have no creativity.

    We've built a castle together. To help find it after being killed by random mobs, I've created a giant tower with a central pillar of lava.

    That was our first weekend playing it. We just added a mod for creating magic symbols that create effects.

    So, you have a thousand mirrors pointing at a target, heating the salt in it to the melting point.

    What in the world is that target made of? It has to be able to conduct heat, be immune to liquid sodium's effects, AND not melt or burn at 1500f+

    Are you saying that Infrastructure is invested in and kept up in the US? Because if you are, that's an incredibly wrong statement.

    Highschool calc? I've yet to encounter a problem outside of the classroom that needed Calculus to solve.

    It's sad that people can't figure out square footage though.

    Want a fun question? Give people a cubic meter of concrete and ask them how much area that would cover. I've asked 4 people and have gotten 4 complete different approaches to it.

    I'm getting mixed messages on the unemployment benefit extension.

    NPR said it was just for applying for the benefits. But the speech that Obama gave indicated that people who were on unemployment would get another 13 months of money.

    And the TSA is talking about doing trains and buses with the same security level. So you can't go ANYWHERE without driving yourself, unless you submit.

    Nonsense. Everyone wants to get the most out of their work.

    Lets try this again, why would someone want to work for those 9 guys for the rest of his life, instead of just 10 years and retiring? Or 20 years and having enough money to start a new business venture?

    And finally, there's no such thing as "Making more money than you can spend in your lifetime". You can spend Bill Gates fortune in an afternoon, and by actually buying things. Not just giving it away.
