    Eh? The problem with Rail was the expense and the time it takes to get anywhere.

    Every once in a while I think it would be neat to travel by rail. Then I see it costs just as much as a plane ticket and takes 10x as long.

    At Traveling by Bus was even faster. And far cheaper.

    Actually, I've never seen any kind of god-based religious extremist try anything of the sort.

    I'm not referring to the communists, socialists, vegetarians though. They're always trying to push their beliefs on others.

    Since the processing requirements for bluray are so high, and CPU power gets cheaper every year, there's no reason for bluray to take off.

    A HD movie has 1080p video and sound. The data can be stored on a variety of mediums and decoded by a variety of devices. Sony won the HD disk wars, but that's looking like it's not that big of a deal.

    Jobs are a survival requirement in the modern age. Just like rain and soil in the middle ages.

    It's easy to make a stand when you're taking no risks and no one depends on you.

    It sounds like you have no idea what it takes to be a successful blogger.

    You can't just spew your thoughts on a page. You need references. And if you're the type of blogger that does write articles with references, it's not that hard to call someone to get an official statement.

    Do you have to drive for a living to be a good driver?

    I just tried looking them up "tenets of journalism" in Google, and they're not listed anywhere I could find.

    So either there aren't any, or they're so obscure that not even GOOGLE knows what they are.

    Ok, think about this.

    Imagine you're in a group of 5 people. Each of you have a day you show up at 8 and boots up all 5 computers. The other 4 show up at 8:15.

    Do you think the other 4 would get punished/fired for continuously being "late"?

    The biggest problem facing in-air hand gesturing is that it requires some level of stamina to maintain continual use. For sifting through data that could be done via other means, this just isn't practical due to the eventual strain it places on the user. It's sort of like trying to paint a ceiling. At first you're fine, but the longer you do it, your efficiency starts drop at a sharp curve.

    I'm surprised that no one see this as a feature instead of a bug.

    If the user gets too tired from waving his/her arms around constantly, it means they're going to focus on thinking more before acting. Remember the days before PCs could multitask?
