    Why not a jacket with extra pockets inside? Seems simple enough, pda and phone in pant pockets when not wearing jacket, mp3 player put up because your at work :)

    Wow... $350? I mean thats more than windows, albeit not more than windows and office combined... and I know its $350 better spent (Linux Package vs. MS Package not Mandrake specifically). I also know its free as in speech, not beer. I'm just a little shocked. This is for the deluxe desktop user right, seem a little pricey. Does it come with a mandrake club subscription?

    Perhaps a "average" woman's floor is clearner than the average man's. The before mentioned would-I-eat-off-this-floor rule comes into play.
    My experience (at least in high school and college) that my buddies floors were quite unsanitariy.

    On the G5 I spent about 20 minutes trying to install Adobe Arcobat 6. 20 minutes. It took you 20 minutes? did you already have the file, or did you have to dial up to get it? Even Safari is straining to keep up as I type this. Oh come on, the browser isn't straining to run... :) My 486/66 with 8MB of ram running MS Windows for Workgroups 3.11 is faster than this G5 dual 2GHz machine at times. When? Ever try opening a flash "enhanced" webpage? My school had similar systems used as web terminals run Win3.11 and they were terribly slow.

    Well that is to be expected, as was mentioned earlier... and the fact that they *loose* money on consoles, and make it back in software means that sony might actually be duing better for it.

    Looks can be deceiving... Alpha Centauri looks like dogfood the second time around, but I still had many an enjoyable experiences with it (and the expansion). And I still play Diablo II (Looks almost exactly D1), and starcraft... Their graphics are far from top of the line, it is the play value that matters, not the visual polish... And I'm sure everyone has at least one game they got/played that looked great, but was terrible to play.

    This would make sense, probably more so than stealing from linux... 1)The BSD licenses have looser guidlines about who can have and what they can do with code... Being a commercial entity that would play into SCO's hand 2) BSD code for the most part is older than linux code, making the time that it could have been "Borrowed" that much longer... But that being said, I am not an IP lawyer... Like I needed to say that...

    I work at a computer lab at my school that is geared toward the disabled. We have a few blind students who use the systems. Mostly they use a program called JAWS, that is a screen reader. Using key combinations they are able to navigate the screen with pretty good results. As far as marking the keys goes, we have braille stickers over the keys. I beleive there is a GNU/Linux solution out there... BrailleSpeake I believe. It is a distro for the blind, you would probably have to set it up. It comes with a screen reader and built in support for touch devices. I hope this helps

    Well it may not be exactly accurate in a physical sense, but it will be a start. These people will be off of the Earth for at least 1.5 yrs (9 months each way). That, and the communications problems are the only really _NEW_ aspect to going to Mars. There is one person who was in space for close to that long, but He is an individual not a group, and he was close to the Earth. In that respect it will be valuable research. I think it may also help narrow down what things that have slipped or have been forgotten.

    Misleading Eh? Let me pose a question to you then. What kind of light was Hubble using to capture these images? I don't think it was the visible part of the spectrum. Doesn't that make all of the colors you see false, and thereby misleading?
