The main problem with enforcing copy right laws is that the average joe is not remotly affriad of getting caught. Any family with internet that I know downloads songs. There is just no risk. If the goverment procecuted 500 people for downloading a song, movie, warez ect., then the average user would be know that they are risking punishment. They shut down a big warez ring every once in awile, but do I notice a shortage of warez on the internet? No. As soon as one provider gets shutdown, another pops up.

Programs like seti@home that use your space cpu cycles can conflict with other programs that act the same way. For example I had this compression program that would compress stuff with a low priority process. Since Seti and the compression program were both trying to use the spare cpu power, they didn't play well together.

I think if some P2P program came out for websites, it would solve the bandwidth problem of alot of sites. For example, you go to a website, you start downloading a video file or whatever, but instead of downloading it from the main site, it would download from a bunch of differant people. Only certain sites would be allowed to put content on the network. Then once you get the file, people can download it from you. Anybody think somthing like this will actualy come out some day?
