Mercury goes around the sun in 87 days. Assuming that the orbits are circles (they're pretty close) it should never be more than 86 days for the planet to be in an optimal position to launch a probe. So, why would it be off by two years? What am I missing here?
Uh, maybe an in depth knowledge of how the gravity of all the planets affects trajectories?
Word to that. This week I am rebooting three servers that are close to 497 days uptime. Unfortunately, I have to lose my fabulous uptime because there are a few utilities that do not function so well once it reaches the 497 day mark due to 32 bit integers.
Except for the stealing music and movies. If Slashdot has taught me anything, that part is a RIGHT. I believe it's actually in the US Constitution. At least, that's what 1337_linux_haX0r (7830482) said in one of his posts.
Has anyone come across a removal tool and/or removal instructions? They would be helpful for future reference.
Here is a helpful site. It provides instructions on how to get rid of windows viruses forever. Even ones not yet invented.

Hmmmm, this is true and sad: The first indication I got that Glib was vitally important was when I uninstalled it using red-carpet. I did manage to keep it running long enough to tar up and ftp my home directory off my system.
Let's say you're sitting at a Starbucks, drinking some coffee. You hear a song over the speakers you happen to like. All you have to do is call out: "Could I get this on a CD, please?" You, sir, have just written the most succinct analogy of the Slashdot mentality I have ever read.
Even the ACLU says to you have to show ID when stopped in a car. (read here) It is irrelevent whether or not you are parked. (You can get a dui for sitting in the driver seat of a parked car with the engine off.)
You probably 'ride the short bus' if you know what I mean.
How long before "Ten weeks != Two Years" is posted by some moron?
But don't 10 metric weeks equal 2 Imperial years?

Linux being more stable and less resource hungry.

Did your code look like this:
int int mamainin (voidvoid) {{
pprintrintff(("%.3ff", "3"vavall;);
retreturn 0;urn 0;
}}
So if you like bubblegum pop, hiphop, and country, Wal-Marts the place to shop. Otherwise, no dice.
Very true. I went to Walmart once. Turns out they don't sell asyncronous laser diode current controls either.
That's a marketing department gone bad.
The Slashbots will point blame at the admins. However, if it were Microsoft...
Internet usage is not a RIGHT. It's a PRIVILEDGE.

99% of the people you ask would say
Ah, Slashdot: Home of the made up sweeping statement.
Review stolen from here
And securityworm stole them from here (and I see no attribution, so I say stole)
By calling it Linux.

I am assuming you are from the Pragmatic Bookshelf based on your username. You might be interested to know that prag is slang for a prison bitch.
Make a contest and have somebody ELSE come up with your campaign...
Reminds me of something....what was it...oh yeah - a t-shirt contest.
some people think so
I'll second that. I just pulled the last of some 95 year old wiring out of my 95 year old house. How many people have hacked really old things?
What if someone else fixes it?
Rule 0: Use a bug tracking system and assign yourself the bug before starting anything.
can this be used with Spamassasin, or is a stand alone program? Does it need something like Amasis to run?
I'd tell you, but I'm not 100% sure.
I ended up working late on some Microsoft catastrophe at work.
Nice. Work in a dig at Microsoft. Ah, Slashdot.
