Buy a book on game programming? Perhaps one written when DOS was king^Win vogue^W^Wthe OS for PCs so you can learn all the fun stuff like using pointers to directly manipulate the graphics hardware?
I'm trying to think of how they could alter the game to make it harder or easier without simply just choosing the order of the cards in the deck. And that seems kind of like a proposition of "We can make it impossible to win for certain" no an issue of we can make it take twice as much skill / effort to win. Any Klondike experts out there know how to "fix" a game?
I'm no expert pirate, but for kicks i stuck a GC disc in my DVD drive. I didn't expect to be able to mount it or anything (even though i tried) but the really interesting thing was that it never stopped seeking. Even a dd did jack cuz it couldn't seem to find anything on the disc.
Now I'm gonna drift off into wild speculation but maybe the GC laser is a different wavelength or something equall weird. Maybe GC discs aren't quite the mini-DVDs they appear to be.
Artificial beef jerky? Kinda crunchy, kunda spicy, and its not like anyone could tell the difference between artificial beef jerky and real beef jerky. Mmmmm Jerky. Need more Jerky.
Moderators save your points You're not going to hurt Anonymous Cowards Karma.
I didn't realize the point of moderation was to hurt or help people's karma. I thought the point of moderation was to increase the (visible) signal to noise ratio. If the grandparent is a troll, and my threshold is set to zero, I don't want to have to read it regardless of whether or not a mod can hurt the user's karma by down-modding them. Of course this all assumes that the mods know what they are doing.
So can I create a really really big amount of energy out of nothing, use it to go really really fast and get some place before the planck time is up? Assumming the making something outta nothing bit is viable anyway. Don't mind me, just talking out of my ass.
Wow, that has to be the most interesting thing on spam I've ever read. It's almost like using Bayesian classification to stop spam is as bad as unesscessarily using anti-biotics. The spammers (or bacteria) evolve and get around it, and become even more annoying then they were before.
Game testing isn't really the fun-filled job you'd think it would be. You sit there and do one part over and over again. Or you die on purpose. You aren't paid to play the game, your paid to do very specefic things in specefic parts of the game. You're hunting for bugs, not playing for kicks. Just warning you.
That is the creepiest thing I have ever read.
Really? Is that were the (Obligatory Simpsons Referenece) Burns telephone greeting comes from? "Ahoy hoy!"
I didn't realize tetris had vague gameplay concepts. I figured the gameplay of tetris was quite well defined.

A) ROM stands for Read-Only Memory. Guess what CD-ROM stands for? But I'm sure we all know what you meant
B)The DC didn't boot off WinCE unless it was on the disc. Most games realeased for the DC were not WinCE based.
C) Yes the XBOX does have a stripped down version of the 2K kernel.
W00t, 1/3 ain't bad. I feel trolly lately.
Right about now the querant's head just exploded. "You mean I can't just buy a Linksys Fibre-Optic router?"
Joking! Joking!

There's always the gum... And then you can swallow it when you're done, and spare the effort of eating stuff!
Yeah, but you can get run over by a truck and be spared the effort of eating stuff. Swallowing the gum is bad for you.
ITIHBT but the ascii and html versions should give you a clue as to whether or not the lack of "security" is intentional.
::prepares to karma whore::
GPL licensed electronics! FTP the plans off of sourceforge and print them out on your 3d printer.

From the second paragraph in the article:
In the future, the antenna system will provide high-speed Internet access.
Also the net access potential is mentioned in the blurb.

You have so many machines and she is downloading such large files that you actually need QoS on your home lan?? Wow.
Is the fact that this guy {Heart}s apple really +3 Insightful?? Jeezus. I hope I get to meta-mod this post.

The moderation system must be retarded...mmoncur hit it spot on, and should be packing a (score:5) for this insightful post.
Guess what? It's people. It has very little to do with the moderation system. People decide whether or not to up-mod a post.
Yeah, soaps last forever. Christ, my mother has been watching General Hospital since she was a kid.
