Nah. For the high performers, the extra hours will be productive but consuming people's time is a key tool of all cults. It will endear them to the company who will own all of thier will and innovations--safe from thier competition. That's what they really want.

Agreed. This isn't hobby tech. Going from prototype to something that "just works" is a monumental leap of mind numbing, soul crushing details. The fun gets sucked out real quick when you have make it consumable by the simpletons.

Nah. Ford knows how to build tech that can scale to the idiot population behind the wheel and that won't spin out of control from a supportability standpoint. I asked about a remote video technology for towed trailers and was told that the tech was not mature enough to work the way people expect it to. I trust them. When they deliver, it just works.

  9. All this Python popularity reminds me of the rise of BASIC's popularity. It won't be long before people think you can write serious, user facing applications with that steaming pile. I can defintitely get behind using it for infrastructure automation and analytics but fuck trying to build anything large. But alas, the non technical will hear buzz of its popularity and the inexperienced will be allowed to build shit with it. God help us all.

I stopped eating meat because of animal protien studies that were shown to turn cancer on and off at will in the presence of certain toxins. Doesn't prove red meat is bad but I'm not taking anymore chances. After I stopped eating meat and adopted a proper vegetarian diet my performance shot through the roof (respiration during intense excersize) and I have to eat a lot of damn cookies before I start gaining any weight, and it drops immediately upon resuming a pure diet. I do not eat any processed foods and most of my bread intake is made from sprouted grains or is whole grain. Lots of leafy greens wrapped in sprouted grain wraps flavored in vegan sauces. Can't remember my last insulin spike or constipation. Just came off a whole winter season of zero excersize and immediately started setting personal records (strava, bike) and have not gained any weight since last season despite sitting around the house playing video games and baking cookies and brownies. I live like a king and feel like superman.
