Forget the linked article "rant" -- by far the most accurate text on JWZ.org is the following:
"I have yet to come across so much self-righteous bullshit as when I gaze upon the massive heap of crap that is the jwz web experience."
FYI, the above quote, which can be found here, is attributed to "an anonymous poster to slashdot.org". If there is any justice in this world, that comment was modded to "5, Insightful".
I think point 1 might be more of a hinderance than a help in attaining the reading goal, unless you happen to live near an extremely well-stocked library!
For example, when I read email in Kmail, I can either copy a link to the clipboard and paste it in mozilla or I can just click it and see the link in konqueror.
In KMail (1.3.2 on KDE 2.2), highlight the URL. After one second, you'll be presented a context menu offering a choice of browsers (e.g. Konqueror, Netscape, Mozilla, Opera or Lynx) with which to open the URL. Should save the cutting and pasting.
The British monarchy has become somewhat of a running joke, but the prize piece of entertainment is not the adulterous adventures of some of the Queen's children (and their respective spouses), but the disappointingly-frequent racially-prejudiced "gaffes" by the Queen's husband, Prince Philip.
That should really be 16! (2, 092, 278, 988, 000), not 16^2 - 16, as a drink may consist of more than two ingredients (whether or not the glass could contain 16 measures is another matter). However, I hope it wouldn't suggest Coke and Tonic, 'cos that'd be nasty.
The Debian msttcorefonts package was broken last time I tried to use it. If I remember correctly, it connects to an FTP server to download the TTF files. Unfortunately, the owner of the FTP server has either moved or deleted these files from their previous location.
...although I have heard of James Bulger, a british criminal of sorts)
James Bulger? A criminal? Are you sure you're not terribly mistaken?
For non-UK readers, James Bulger was also the name of a two year old, murdered by two ten year olds in Bootle, Merseyside in 1993. The case was, understandably, front page news for a long time in the British press.

It submits to http://www.pm.gov.au/admin/pm2/feedback.cfm. One imagines it is then sent on using a hardcoded value.
I heartily recommend reading "Stupid White Men" by Michael Moore for an interesting insight on this statement.
Also, what's the one-line unix command (running MacOS X here).
shred
I trust that the 80GB is $120.51?
You've really opened yourself up there with the "professional journalist" comment.. :-)
I may be incorrect, but can you not also use JavaScript to interface with ASP?
Ahem?
Why would you have to invite ASP? Just because you're asking Cinderella to the ball, doesn't mean you have to ask her ugly sisters as well.
*Shudder*
Read the article before posting? WTF? :-P

I'd rather have Queen Elizabeth II than George W. Bush as my head of state, thanks all the same.
Two words: go offroad.
They could at least have a 12 inch screen..
Harvey Mudd College != Club Tropicana

I think it's probably more to do with the ingredients than the storage capacity...
I initially read that as spanking.com, and it's only 3pm.. Urgh..
Just tried it again (it had been a while). Works perfectly.
Don't know if it was the father, son, or author
All three?

Funny, I didn't see it. :-P
