In response to yesterday's michael bashing, I'd like to point out that the eff DRM game was quite interesting and a good inclusion.

I haven't seen an example of how it "Displays AOL ads everywhere" as mentioned in the CNET review. I wonder if CNET and I downloaded and installed the same software.
As posted here on slashdot, there is a way to disable pop-ups. Sounds like CNET had a bone to pick.
I jsut upgraded from 6.2.1 to 7 and it seems to function perfectly, despite me meeting only one of the minimum system requirements. I've got a Pentium 200MHz, Win95b and 128MB RAM. 1 out of 3. 7 actually seems to start faster than 6 and functions exactly as expected. You guys can slam Netscape all you want, but with an install this friendly, I think you ought to rethink your enemies.

if true, this is much bigger news than the 2700 story that's being run.....
This was very misleading. Remember, the internet fridge is not for food. "The Internet fridge stores recipes and makes up a shopping list as you run out of food" Other interchangeable terms might include: "house-wife" or "house-husband" or "servant" or "mother-in-law" or "pda" or "computer."
You will still need to provide a "regular" fridge.
We ecountered difficulty in downloads from government agencies at work where the download strings and file names had spaces in them. I would work with IE but not in Netscape. They told us to get an updated version of IE - It wasn't their job to make sure it worked in every "fly by night web browser." It was fixed within a week of our complaint to the purchasing agent.
Sarcasm suits you, anonymous coward. Yeah I drive a wagon. I also play taiko and found that my drums and stands fit best in a wagon. Neither of our other cars are long enough inside for the all the stands without them [the stands] protruding into the front seating area. Sometimes, function is more important than appearance. It may not be the "coolest" car on the block, but at least I'm not driving a gas guzzling lexus suv just to impress my friends. I bet you brag about your stuff all the time.
Also, I'm sorry you have such a poor family relationship that you frown on those that live at home. Hope you never need the support of your family.

Is that 'accurate to a height of 10 meters' or 'accurate to within 10 meters of the actual height.

I drive a taurus wagon, green, and walked up to a regular green taurus, unlocked the door and started to sit down when I noticed someone had "stolen" the console.... Then I realized it wasn't my car. I sheepishly relocked the door and got in my car, which was parked right next to it.
"but don't tell us non-coders how to defend against it.
I think this is the point. Coders or non-coders shouldn't need to defend against it. It is the responsibility of MS to clean their own damn house before they start worrying about others, as in DRM.
I can see pop ups advertising nearby businesses. As you're walking down the street, your laptop beeps and says, "Big sale at Tutles, Girdles and Yo-Yos on your right...."
And 24-bit capable. It may be big, but bigger is better, right? Actually, the fact that there is existing hardware support and that it can do 24 bit makes it seem like an excellent idea for the future in light of the rise of dvd-r and dvd+r. So what if it is big. Bandwidth contraints will not be a consideration forever!
Ddn't someone try this in Germany or England and discard the idea because all the transmissions could be received with some sort of antenna near the power lines?
