but i still don't see how some dumb Electricbird is gonna beat a dinosaur....and the one on fire is already dead as far as i can tell.... heh its like naming a mail client after a squirrel...
that seems like a lot for such an old game, I mean why would a play something my old vodoo 3 could play... (right out of my brothers mouth...kids thease days)
sorry but apple is a hardware company not a software one. If you check there income you'll see they make very little on there OS and ilife products. If Apple came out with a new computer using an AMD chip they would be hurt drastically by those building there own apple computers instead of spending the premium in the apple store. The ibm 970 will happen, AMD might be involved but only with helping Apple on hyperthreading i think...
it seems like everyone is making comments about package selection and hardware auto-detection, what about having a GUI installer fixes that? its graphical not better, instead of picking my modules from a text list, i scroll through that list with my mouse, with some cool background logo. how does that make the install easier? i think what everyone is asking for is a easier install, related to dselect, and you can do that with a text-based install.. my 2 cents
erm old packages huh, its called debian unstable, and here is your mini debian boot disk, http://www.debian.org/CD/netinst/ , wow now wasn't that hard, guinewb
I'm worried about this 10.2 release, everyone says its going to be great but I'm sitting here with my just bought old school imac g3/700 with its 16 meg video and 256 of ram, and am worried. Quartz extreme doesn't look like its going to run on my computer and I'm just wondering what happened to the OS updates that would make things run faster, not slower? My 3 pc's have been with me since win 98 and are all running XP with no slow down at all. I expect new games or graphics apps are the things I need to upgrade for not an OS release one month after I get my computer. When someone drops 2 grand on a computer With all the bells and whistles it should be OS upgradeable for years, or hell at least one.
Force fields. Full remaining strength. Total Reserve.
There's something in my cd player.....Some Thing...

And on christmas day SkyNet starting thinking for itself.
