But nothing beats the reliabilty of a good set of Magento Optical discs. I had some data i backed up on a 128meg disc that i can still access today on my new fujitsu 2.3gb model. If they could get the disc capacity to 4-6 gigs, while keeping the price at about 20$ a pop i'd be in heaven.
Does anyone else think this sounds similar in aplication and design to the RFID's in the center of the new twenties? You know the story a while back about the twenties in the microwave...
Or maybe I'm just a poor college student reasuring myself that it's a good thing I have no money..

Just cuase theres a ppc under the hood doesn't mean OSX will run on it. There are many ppc boxes out there, the OS however checks for certain proprietary hardware (something like a BIOS I've heard) that only Apple made computers have. Now darwin might be different but I have no info on that.
there gonna boot directly into a windows themed version of slackware running on there newly released virtual pc 2004...
reloaded = xp loading a real os
I will say however that the gui designers over at MS do have one thing going for them. They have been designing their ui to meet the needs of 80+% of the computing population. Of course in some areas of the open source market there will be those that don't realize with the advent of newer easier to install distro's there will be those point and click users who will complain about the ui of said open source application. Some people will put up with bugs, viruses and the like to have everything a snap to setup.
