    Why would bandwidth need to be predicted? that makes no sense. it's the same for calls, and the same for data it doesn't vary at all.

    agreed, 1986 fullsize truck diesel of mine puts out 200hp and gets 18mpg highway with no overdrive. 2008 fullsize diesel with 6 speed gets 22mpg with 650hp.. there is definitly an improvement

    That is a major accomplishment in itself!

    Having lived here almost my whole life I know how bad the cops are here, state highway patrol is EVERYWHERE, especially so much on the turnpike that it looses huge amounts of truck traffic to side routes, so they are concentrated there as well. purely amazing and I give them major props for making it through!

    this should be some fun legal maneuvering on TSG's side to watch =)

    AIX/DYNIX -> linux

    then they have to show

    Sys5 -> AIX/DYNIX -> Linux

    they have already stated in court that part of the above does not exist (sys5 -> Linux) but now they are required to show precisely how JFS/NUMA/RCU and all that went *from* system 5 into aix and then into Linux, this will definitly be fun!

    your honor, our current OS does not contain any of these advanced technologies because IBM stole them from us....

    it will still charge, just take much longer.

    the inverter section of any half-decent ups can run continuously if properly cooled.

    my ups ran for 8 hours supplying close to 100% load through the blackout last august
    (a light, fan, tv, vcr)

    digital tv on channel 2 here in cleveland has the local 6 meter repeaters desensed so bad there basically useless. take a look into digital broadcast band limits.

    I have to agree with this, cdma SS tdma and such are already doing this, the problem is mainly with the signals we are transmitting 99% of tv and radio broadcasts are in analog formats FM and AM modulation repectivly, put two stations on the same frequency and yes they do not occupy the same physical space but try to decode one or the other....
    if we switched to more digital formats it would free up slight ammounts of bandwith in the RF spectrum but the prices of consumer electronics would skyrocket but for example an HDTV digital broadcast takes up a lot more space than an analog one..

    well... when your p4 2.4ghz pc starts using a clock
    thats producing a few hundred watts of radiation you can start to worry.. but i highly doubt that your pc is going to put out anywhere near the power of a microwave :P

    i'm sure RIAA will love this...

    now people will stop buying cd's and just buy tapes and copy them with this thing... kinda hard to copy protect tapes. I guess if the idea cauht on well enough we will see no more tapes for sale and cd's will then cost about $28 a piece.

    a few years...

    I remember looking at one and saying wow.. this would be cool if it held more than 32mb of mp3's

    this just adds a few more 'features' such as analog audio and more memory.. still a neat product tho.
