If Microsoft (or anyone) tries to set precendent with GPL by suing an open source project, you can sure bet IBM, Novell, Redhat and others would come to their aid if they have to. Microsoft better be damn sure they can win.
I did a little more reading in the trivia section and also found this:
Spent five months developing the script Rain Man (1988) with Ron Bass, but had to commit to his handshake deal to direct Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Spielberg gave all of his notes to Barry Levinson.
Maybe it's a cross between 'obstacles' and 'optical'. In other words, if you can't see it, it's not really there. However, if this is the case, I don't see how this robot is going to help out.
BTW, I would submit more Insightful comments in my code if only my peers with good karma had Mod Points at code review time.
Yeah, I would submit more comments in my code, too, but I would be aiming for +5 Funny so it probably wouldn't help anybody understand the code anyway.

Just because something doesn't use a video codec doesn't make it not a movie.
I don't know, it's all Greek to me.
Yeah, but can they make this?
No? Then quit wasting my time.

Did I take this too literally?
How 'bout reserving judgement until there's an actual charge filed instead of acting like a lynch mob.
You must be new here.
That's the first thing that's ever gone wrong.
UNIX. It already works.

I thought we were at GhandiCon 3 with Microsoft but this has shades of GhandiCon 5 (my corollary).
For obvious reasons, I think they want to skip step 4.
Here is a timeline of people posting timelines:
Using Windows with the Administrator account is perfectly safe if you're not an idiot. I don't see why it's unsafe to do so on a *nix system.
Because 95% of people are idiots (and the other 5% are already running *nix).
Give us an inch and we'll take 3,855,102 sq. miles.
And for my fellow Canadians too lazy to do the math: Give us 2.54 centimetres and we'll take 9,984,668.34 square kilometres.
Exactly. When I download a webpage for later viewing it doesn't follow me around to see where I go and PDFs shouldn't either.
Banning what people do in the privacy of their own homes. It's wrong.
So is what people do in their own homes!
Note to mods: that was a joke.. I'm not from Texas.
Was it intentional?
I don't know, since when has any computer-related "law" really been a law.
Murphy's Law?
While not a "computer-related" law, whenever it is related to computers, it seems to hold true :)
