Or you could just turn off the monitors of the whiners and tell them it is REALLY REALLY dark and brooding atmosphere. Not sure if they would figure that out, but then everyone would be happy.
It is not just technology. The more that these two look like each other the less I care who gets elected. And I really think that if Obama had stuck with the people instead of going with the rich establishment he would have been more powerful than he could have imagined ($10 at a time, one regular joe doing something at a time). Interesting that my disgust of this got a troll, it was an honest opinion.
Early on, I was really quite excited about this election with an actual candidate that seemed to have values I do and wanted to make positive changes, but it looks like the rich people have gotten to Obama. Whether the changes to the website are anecdotal or not, Obama voted for telecom immunity and choose Biden for VP. I don't think I am voting for the presidential candidate this time around (will vote in the other elections), and will wait 4 more years to hope a great man does appear (with a backbone and conviction) that wants to try to run the country. Things might be bad enough then.
If you put wind and solar farms on every inch of the earth (oceans, mountains, every where) with current technology it would not make enough power. It is not an option, it is only a part of the solution. Nuclear is an actual option to make enough power with today technology.
How about when there is a cat 5 hurricane every week? How about when you cannot go outside at all because your skin will cook in the sunlight? Does nuclear power start to look better then? I think you can broaden your scope to look at what bad could really be. Nuclear remains an option and the risk can be managed better than daily weather or cosmic radiation problems.
Don't count your chickens just yet about it not fading away. It is published by EA so either it will die a slow painful death or there will be 40 expansions with the only change being different useless trees.
Oh, thank goodness. I am rolling out a pilot program to make sure that the driving privilege is used in accordance to to the law. Please provide everywhere that you have driven today including what activities you were doing and any driving infractions. I promise this information is only going to be used for the public good. Oh, and it will only cost you $5 per day for this service that you will undoubtedly find really useful (you might be the only user that thinks it is a great idea).
I think the problem with this argument is that it still makes sense to break up the functionality into separate hardware. Then those that want to go hog wild with some aspect of the hardware can (like graphics). Putting all of the functionality into the CPU seems like it would lead to stagnation of technology, because only a couple of players would be able to make any real advances.
Honda and Toyota are already eating heavily into Ford and GM. They need to let the market decide on cars like this. Ford no longer has the muscle to ignore the market or force it to be what they want. Bad decisions like this only accelerate Ford's decline.
Sony is trying to build something that nobody wants. This feels a lot like Microsoft hailstorm or passport or whatever it was called solving a problem that nobody really had or would buy into. How about get rid of the DRM and sell DRM free versions of the content on a distribution system that is easier to use than it is to pirate.
Is for Best Buy to hire Larz to pimp Napster. Best Buy goes down the tubes like AOL/Time Warner. Larz goes bankrupt. And Shawn Fanning buys Napster for a dollar.
No. Just because one extremist group is less "extreme" than another it does not make them any better to me. They are both are still terrorist organizations. At best, you have just prioritized who to deal with first.
quote from the OP : "Not justifying the abortion clinic attacks, just suggesting that the actions were at least targeted at preventing what they consider a wrong, while the terrorists we are fighting are NOT targeted at preventing a wrong"
With an attitude like that, I think we have reason to fear wacko christian anti-abortionists just like radical Muslims or Jewish settlers. ie My cause is just so it is ok to kill off a couple people.
That has not been my experience with Linux. I can google any problem I have on Linux and find an answer or post to a forum for free (as in beer) help. Now, I may get help from a 35 year old man living in his parents basement that berates me for being an idiot over and over while getting the answer, but you cannot have everything.
Jewish extremists, Christian extremists, Muslims extremists. I really see no differentiation between these folks and terrorism. They are all terrorists, including wacko christian abortionist extremists who bomb (but somehow think because it is their cause it is ok).
Linux is maturing. Ignoring it would be like Microsoft ignoring Firefox, because IE is the most dominant browser. Honestly, when some company starts making money putting out a Linux version, everyone will do it.

Yes, I loved this game too. The side kick skull and other people that joined your group, the tattoo's you collected, all excellent and incorporated into a deep story with questing. Also, the original fallout had a great story. I think this level of game could be done in a MMO, just the right guy has not been on the right job yet.
Leaky abstractions (look it up, it is a good read). A lot of times for kitchen sink platforms like.Net and Java you get burned by the bugs buried in the underlying platform. If to many of these system are stacked it becomes really difficult to have any stability.
Anyone else? I have had such poor results with anything published by EA over the last 5 years or so that I have stopped buying anything that EA puts out. I know it has been compromised or kneecapped or has some stupid gotcha like DRM. Looks like that holds true for Spore.
That is an interesting take on it. I don't think I would ever use Chrome as I like that Firefox is some what business agnostic. If Chrome pushes development of the browsers great, but I fear what Google might put in it (and also the reason I don't use IE, well that and security)

yea, messing with a VP candidate, whoa. Could be a bridge built to no where again at the drop of a hat.

Anti-abortionist violence in 2007 and you are trying to argue it is ancient history? When was Sept 11th again?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abortion-related_violence
and my argument (that seems to be lost of some folks) is that a wacko is a wacko regardless of which extremist organization they belong to.

The words Best Buy and Guru used in the same sentence. Oh, that is funny. Is this from the Onion?
Get anything that he has on youtube removed! We don't want anyone else hurt.

That is interesting. Wonder if Team Fortress 2 appeals, because they are not trying to be realistic?
