    Dear Apple,

        Please spin off your laptop division. Anyone technical with a Mac won't buy crap from your store anyway, and the integration points with your iPhones aren't worth it. (Many of us use Android phones and use your laptops they understand Unix commands and because random system upgrades won't take us offline for half a day at a time.)

    There's something to this. Whenever my friends complain that the wrong person got elected to national/state office, I ask them what they have done it their local community lately. You can own/influence a piece of the sandbox, but you need to pick the right one (e.g., place to live).

    Came here to say the same thing.

    In general, all the video chat apps (Skype, WebEx, Hangouts) are crap once you get beyond 1-to-1. Half the meetings I've ever been to that involve video chat started at ten past the scheduled start because of connectivity issues. And the root cause is often some obscure setting someone flipped to get someone else's video chat product to work at the last meeting. (And no, "let's just use one company standard" never works because of vendors, partners, etc.)

    I didn't know you could play as that Civilization. But when I play Arabia (close enough?) the religious bonuses of the Hagia Sophia are high enough that it's often worth grabbing a city that's built this so I can stack these bonuses on my civilization's base bonuses.

    Nah...I'd take a serious look at this if I was about to start college in a semi-rural community.

    I worked in a crappy health care data center for $10/hr during my first two years of college but I did it because they paid for most of my school, which boosted my real wages to closer to $20/hr (in the 1990's), or closer to $40/hr since half the time I was "working" in the data center I was actually working on homework.

    As for all the shmoes who are perfectly happy stocking shelves their whole "career": meh - here's your $10/hr.

    In other words, Airbus is hoping to part a few "venture capitalists" and "angel investors" from their liquid funds.
